Sometimes I reward myself with the same reward systems I used with my students. 😂 This is a skill I alwaaaays need to work on. I know when I need to take a break because I'm not being productive, but then I get down on myself for taking a break when I could be being productive. This is a common cycle. Self-care and breaks are KEY to being able to be productive. So next time you're wondering if you need that break, TAKE IT. Remember, we gotta model that behavior for our kids!

Summarizing used to bring my students so much dread. They hated doing it and I didn’t particularly enjoy teaching it. So I decided to take it back to basics and back to what works - research based methods which includes the SWBST strategy.

So if your feeling is HARMONY or PEACE or HAPPINESS, ask yourself if what you are doing is promoting that feeling.⁣

This made it so much easier for me to set intentions for 2021. Because instead of making a checklist, I'm just aligning everything with MY FEELING. ⁣
