Today, ZEO Mtr Shaista Draboo, in response to the imminent threat posed by incessant rains and flash floods, took a proactive step and dispatched a team headed by ZEPO Mtr Hafiza G to conduct an assessment of UPS TENGHAR, KGBV MUGHALPORA, and PS MUGHALPORA and other schools from where distress calls were reported. This proactive measure follows the issuance of an advisory on Saturday, suspending class work due to the adverse weather conditions.
Upon visiting the schools, ZEPO Hafiza G directed the staff members present to maintain a vigilant watch over the escalating water levels. Regrettably, the team observed that a section of the boundary wall at KGBV MUGHALPORA had been washed away by the flash floods.
In light of these developments, all staff members have been instructed to adopt proactive measures to mitigate potential property damage and ensure the safety of all students and staff members. They are also directed to remain vigilant and alert to any further developments.

In line with the visionary directives of the esteemed CEO Pulwama, the Zonal Education Officer Pulwama organised a monumental [ SVEEP ]Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation rally today, marking a significant stride in bolstering civic engagement and democratic participation within the region.
Commencing from the premises of the Deputy Commissioner's office compound, the vibrant procession traversed through the heart of Pulwama, culminating at the revered Ghanta Ghar, Main Chowk Pulwam. The rally served as a resounding testament to the collective commitment towards fostering a robust electoral culture and amplifying voter awareness across the constituency.
Embracing the call of the higher authorities, the rally garnered fervent participation from a diverse spectrum of the local populace, notably comprising VEC members, new voters, esteemed personalities, and a myriad of enthusiastic citizens keen on shaping the future through their ballot.

Immediately upon assuming the charge of Zonal Education Officer for Pulwama, Mtr Shaista Draboo wasted no time in making her presence felt across zone pulwama. Today, she conducted surprise visits to two prominent schools within the zone, namely BMS Washibugh and UPS Drusso.
During her visits, Mtr Shaista Draboo engaged in productive discussions with the dedicated staff members and students of both institutions. She took a keen interest in examining the Mid-Day Meals served within these schools, meticulously inspecting the storage facilities to ensure optimal conditions.
Of paramount concern to Mtr Shaista Draboo was the provision of clean drinking water for the students. In her directives to Heads of Institutions, MDM Incharges, and AAYAs, she emphasized the immediate priority of arranging pure drinking water before serving meals to the students.

In a fitting tribute to his illustrious career, a felicitation ceremony was meticulously orchestrated at ZEO Pulwama yesterday, bringing together a constellation of esteemed dignitaries, revered educators, and members of the teaching fraternity. The ceremony served as a poignant reflection on Mr. Altaf Hussain's indelible contributions to the educational landscape of Pulwama and beyond.
Gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest was the esteemed CEO Pulwama, Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Khan, whose presence underscored the significance of Mr. Altaf Hussain's legacy. In a significant stride toward community engagement and education empowerment, the Zonal Education Officer, Pulwama Mr Altaf Husaian successfully executed the final phase of its five-part community mobilization drives. Today's event was held at BMS Talanagam, and witnessed the esteemed presence of key figures, including CEO Pulwama, Ab Qayoom Nadvi, Principal GGHSS, Shaista Draboo, Principal GHSS Koil, Gh Rasool Sheikh, Headmistress GHS Pathan, and Commanding Officer 55RR, along with other dignitaries from neighbouring schools.

In a vibrant celebration of Children's Day, the Zone Education Officer Pulwama, Mr Altaf Hussain Pandit, led a community mobilization drive at UPS Uzrampathri. The event witnessed a gathering of key figures including Cluster Head Principal HSS Hawal; Mtr Nusrat Manzoor, ZEPO Mtr Hafeeza Akther, Sarpanch Uzrampathri, parents of students, and heads of 10 schools within the Hawal cluster and locals of the village.
ZNO, Tariq Ahmad Bhat engaged the audience, informing them about various government education schemes. Notably, he shared that a staggering 90 thousand Mid-Day Meal plates are served every month solely in Zone Pulwama, emphasizing the commitment to the nutritional well-being of students.
ZNO Faisal Rashid addressed the audience, urging parents to consider enrolling their children in Government schools.
Cluster Head Mtr Nusrat Tabasum informed the locals about the newly established Virtual Reality Lab at HSS Hawal. She invited schools from the Hawal cluster to visit HSS Hawal, encouraging them to utilize the available resources, including labs, a VR lab, a library, and other infrastructure of HSS Hawal.
