U.S. Embassy Valletta, Malta and Microsoft Innovation Center Malta (MIC) are so excited to announce that we have chosen THREE teams to receive the Next Generation Award! Jessica Zarb, founder of Feels Like Home, Zen D’Amato Gautam, founder of Eco Market Malta and Maria Vella and Neville Micallef co-directors of VM Labs & Tech will receive the mentoring, tools, and access to the MIC to help them actualize their visions. Congratulations to all the participants!!

Raluca Ada Popa has created a computer security method that could protect data, even when attackers break in. A more recent innovation of hers, Helen, can be used by hospitals to share and aggregate patient records without compromising confidentiality. Another of her systems, Opaque, secures hardware systems against potentially compromised software and is now used by such companies as IBM.
