Happy National Mentoring Day! ✨ Today is a chance to promote the benefits of mentoring, so we wanted to highlight 2 of our fab mentoring schemes here at the University of Reading.
Thrive mentors are professionals who you can talk to about all things careers. Whether you know what you want to do, or just want guidance about what working in a specific industry would be like, you can choose a mentor from the scheme’s database. Mentors can even help with CVs and networking. We’d definitely recommend all 2nd year and finalist undergraduates to sign up! You can contact the team on [email protected]
STaR mentors are students who have helped other students settle into university life. They’re here to help support with your transition to university. If you’re interested in being a STaR mentor yourself, you can sign up to support another student, just contact the team on [email protected]
Calling all aspiring journalists, content creators, and film critics!

If you’re interested in this opportunity, please email [email protected]. You will be paid for your time.
Calling all students still on campus today! We’re going on an egg hunt…
…we’ve hidden 10 Easter eggs around the Whiteknights campus this morning as a final thank you to staff and students before the Easter break.
Check out the pictures to see where they are and then go and grab a delicious chocolate egg (but be quick).
1-2-3-GO!
T's & C's:
Eggs have been placed in their original packaging – if the packaging has been tampered with, please don’t eat the egg! Please refer to allergen info on packaging before consuming. Eggs cannot be exchanged for an alternative. Participation is at your own risk. Eggs not collected by 4pm will be removed (and eaten by the social media team!).
When they're gone they're gone, check the comments for updates and tag us in your posts, lucky or not!
