More recitals this past weekend! We absolutely loved hearing our SLC and MA students play at two beautiful venues. Congratulations to the achievements all!
We are so proud of each of the student that performed on the online and in-person spring recitals last weekend. They showed persistence, artistry, and love to music in all possible ways!
Can you hear the dancing rhythm in this piece? Heres’s Sophie Swasey playing Alpine Glow by T. Oesten with virtuosic octaves. 🎵
【Alpenglow by T.Oesten】アルプスの夕映え/エステンに挑戦! 完璧に弾けてるわけじゃないので、温かい目で見ていただけると幸いです。#Piano #ピアノ
Does the tune sound familiar to you? Listen to our student Lillian Lin perform the well-known Turkish March by Mozart. 🎶

Listen to our student Logan Crockett playing Waterfall by Jon Schmidt. The glissando at the end of the piece! 👏
Thanks to everyone who participated in our fun event ”Tech & Hanon Sprint Trials” last Friday. According to the record, students all went over the minimum tempi and mastered the key of G major!
Which key should we do the next?
Another recital took place in SLC! Students did a fabulous job performing. We want to thank everyone for their efforts to make it possible. 🙌🏼
Our Bay Area students had a spectacular time meeting their friends and performing in the recital. We want to thank our parents for their greatest support and look forward to seeing everyone again at the next event!
Congratulations to all of the students that performed virtually on Friday. It was a great success! Thank you for presenting a fabulous program with so much variety.
We have a great news to share- John Paul, student of Dr. Mio Cowden since age 7, has been accepted into Berklee, College of Music on scholarship! He will be off to Boston, MA to start his next adventure this fall. Congratulations! 🎓🎉
Our young learner Ellyce Wang has been enthusiastic about piano since her first lesson. We are just happy to see that she practices with smile and sings along. Here are Scottish Plaid and Mary Ann she performed on the performance class.
John Paul inspires us with his own composition The Flight of the Birds. We enjoy watching his fingers flying on the piano and the vivid sound and color he created.
Owen Yeh performed The Grand Old Duke of York on the performance class. The lively march depicts the grand old Duke of York and his ten thousand men marching up to the top and down the hill.
Blaire Chang performed Singin' in the Rain on zoom performance class. It‘s lilting with the swing rhythm and makes one want to dance.
Our Bay Area students had fun meeting each other and watching their friends play on Friday. They also learned to give specific comments. What a terrific job and progress they’re making!
We are so proud of our students that performed on Friday. They not only played but also commented on each other’s performances. Some had to get up early in the morning as they were on the other side of the globe (Japan and Taiwan). Here are pictures from one of our virtual groups.
All set up for our Bay Area performance class today. Parents, you can watch the recording as soon as this weekend. 🎹🤓
Meet our student Aidan from Massachusetts! He likes to play movie, anime, and pop music, and is currently working on the piece “Follow” by Austin Chen.
In December, we had our winter recitals done in two forms: online and in person. Our students are located in different cities and countries around the world. It was delightful to watch and listen to all of the performances. 😊
We do things a little differently this year. Virtual and recorded recitals are actually pretty fun in a way that we get to see cute piano corners of homes of each student. 🥰
