This is a crucial moment for our community to give input which will inform important decisions for our district.

Community members and families should be receiving the Community Survey, maybe you have already. Please take the time to fill it out either online or on the paper, in which was mailed. You will need to enter a code if taking the survey online. If there is more than one person filling out the form online, you will need to contact the district office at 218-545-8801 and ask for another code. If you have any questions regarding the survey, please reach out to the district office as well. Thank you for taking time to give your input!

There have been 6,570 surveys mailed to our school district members. As of today, 158 surveys have been completed. Please help us reach our goal of 1,000 responses!

On May 8th, SALT students put on Walk to HOPE, a charity walk that benefited Healing Opportunity Provided Equally(H.O.P.E.). H.O.P.E. is a local non-profit organization located in Aitkin, MN, that helps individuals and families around the area escape domestic violence and get back on their feet after the difficult period. SALT students hoped to have at least fifty participants and raise $1,000 during the second year this event has been organized. Instead, SALT students had 165 participants, and raised $2,300 for HOPE! Students worked hard finding sponsors, marketing the event, and organizing all the logistics. We are so proud! Thank you to all who participated and made the event such a success💜

Save Our Rocket Launch!

6th grade needs 2 liter soda bottles or they are in danger of not launching rockets this year! They need about 50 more bottles.

Our students do not have a lot of pop/soda bottles at home. We have been asking and trying! If you have any 2 liter bottles please drop them off CRES office. Thank you for helping out.

Hey Friends! One of the four pillars of ProjectUnite is Volunteerism. A great weekly volunteer opportunity is our CIHS Greeting Team. The first school day of every week - usually Monday, sometimes Tuesday, this week Wednesday ;) - we have a team of 2 friendly folks stationed at the high school office doors to give candy (courtesy of our amazing friends at High Wheel Confectionery), and a smile and maybe a dad joke. The shift is 7:45-8:35am. If you're interested in volunteering, click the link https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0F4FA8AF23A0FACF8-47304094-cihs #/

Exciting opportunities for kids to get out on the trails!

Join us Monday, March 11, at 5:45 pm in the High School MEDIA CENTER AND FLEX ROOM (note change in location from flyer).

Come ready to contribute to the conversation as we discuss ways to help guide the district in the following areas:

-Creative, realistic revenue streams
-A 2024 referendum
-Communications/marketing needs
-Potential cuts/off-limit cuts

We'll also hear an explanation of bonds vs. levies, and get an overview of the last referendum campaign. We're welcoming feedback regarding what worked, what didn't, and ideas for a future referendum.

District 182 is a culture of brilliant, innovative, hard working folks who want to see our students thrive. Excelsior- ever higher.

[C-I schools are looking at massive budget cuts for the 2024-2025 school year. The result of the failed 2023 referendum is dire, with six incredible CRES educators already given a non-renewal contract notice for next year.]

*we encourage you to come early, we will start promptly at 5:45.
