In our recent stories, I had asked what you all were struggling with the most in your homeschool and many of you were having a hard time sticking to routines and remaining consistent.

If you’re struggling to find a routine or stay consistent with one, know that you are NOT alone! Every homeschooler I know faces this challenge.

Inconsistency in your homeschooling routine can cause significant anxiety and stress though, especially knowing that the responsibility of our children’s education is a great amanah, adding to the pressure.

Here are some tips to help you establish and maintain a consistent homeschooling routine inshaAllah.

Who else can make seeking knowledge easy except Allah?

Share with your children and remind them to call on Allah to ease their path in seeking beneficial knowledge for this dunya and the next, inshaAllah.

Remind them that when things are tough Allah is near and answers the call of the one who turns to Him. Call out to Him using His most beautiful Names and Attributes and ask for ease.

Ask Allah to assist you on the path of righteous knowledge and to keep you from knowledge which is not beneficial.

May Allah grant us all ease and clarity with our homeschooling. May Allah grant our children ease with their studies, and may He make it easy for parents to support their children on their homeschooling journey.

Teaching your kids about the sahabah and Islamic history hasn’t been easier with our history unit, The Rightly Guided: Islam Across The Lands.

Taking you through the expansion of the Islamic Empire under the Rashidun Caliphate. We take a look at the four rightly guided caliphs, Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman and Ali, may Allah be pleased with them all, who they were and how Islam spread under their rule.

Everything you need all in one, with info and activities included.

For those in the northern hemisphere, the summer signals a well-earned break but as with all educators, it doesn’t last long. Looking to the academic year ahead, you may start to think about what you would like to achieve in your homeschool this year.

As you look to the year ahead, here are some homeschooling tips to remember.

For many of you, it’s that time of year again to think and plan for the upcoming academic year. Morning baskets are a fantastic way to start your schooling day. I recommend including elements that are meaningful to you and your family, especially those related to the deen.

Here are my recommendations for what to include in your morning basket:

* Qur’an: Start the day by reading a page of the Qur’an, including the translation and, if possible, the tafsir. Use our “Qur’an Journalling” resource to help the kids reflect on what has been read and discussed.

* Allah’s Names and Attributes: Learning Allah’s Names and Attributes is a crucial part of tawheed. Our 99 Names and Attributes of Allah card set, along with our resource “Calling on Allah,” makes it simple to understand their meanings and how to use them when making du’a.

*Card Sets: Any of our card sets are great for a morning basket, especially those on learning daily adhkaar and improving our character as Muslims.

*Prophet Stories Reading Material: No morning basket is complete without reading material. The stories of the Prophets are always engaging and educational, offering many lessons and discussion points.

*Busy Bees: If you have younger children, include something to keep them occupied while you work with the older kids. Although younger ones can join morning basket activities, their attention spans are shorter, so be prepared with extra activities, inshaAllah.

What would you recommend adding to a morning basket?

Why else would we homeschool?

Puberty is a significant milestone in every Muslim’s life, marking the transition into adulthood. In Islam, it’s crucial for parents to educate their children about the changes they will experience and the responsibilities that come with it. Our units, “In Bloom” and “Switching Gears,” help you to do this by providing you with all you need to have these discussions and lessons with your kids. Open, honest conversations help young Muslims understand their bodies and their faith better, ensuring they grow with confidence and knowledge.

Though we often hear Islam spread by force, a quick look at its history shows much was due to trade. Non-Muslims connected with Muslim traders globally and embraced Islam through these interactions.

Our “Continents” unit isn’t just about geography, plants, animals and landmarks —it also explores how Islam spread across each continent.

Islam can be integrated into every topic you teach. Let us help with all you need to blend it seamlessly, inshaAllah.

Looking to create a more in-depth and holistic learning experience by pairing our units together? Check out our list of unit studies with common themes.

Whether you tackle them concurrently or one after the other, you’ll find overlapping themes that allow for a deeper exploration and richer understanding of the topics.

All while learning about the deen, connecting these themes to what Allah has revealed about them and taught to His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him).

Sisters like Maryam from understand the challenge of finding quality, Islamically integrated resources. Many of us often have to use and adapt Christian curriculums for our children.

Our English resources provide relatable scenes, scenarios, and names for your children, all while reinforcing their Muslim beliefs. Having resources tailored to our faith and cultures is crucial for fostering a strong Islamic identity.

Our English resources cover content suitable for grades 1-3, and include grammar, punctuation, spelling and writing.
