Let’s understand the main differences between diffusion and osmosis😁

Both are passive transports that DO NOT require energy as the particles moves according to the concentration gradient. Which means from HIGHER GRADIENT to LOWER GRADIENT😇. Please remember this!😁

Osmosis ONLY involves water molecules meanwhile diffusion any other particles other than water. Please take note on this.

Today I’m going to talk on cell division.

Cell division is a process in which a parent cell divides into 2 or more daughter cells. There are 2 types of cell division namely MITOSIS and MEIOSIS.

There are 2 major differences in these 2 processes.Mitosis takes place in somatic cell while meiosis in gamete cells. Do you know what is somatic cell??🤔

Somatic cell is all the types of cell in body except for gamete cell.😁

The next one, mitosis produces DIPLOID cell which has the same number of chromosomes as the parent cell, which is 2n that means 2 sets of chromosomes. This is the reason that all the other cells in the body looks similar 😍

Meanwhile, Meiosis produces HAPLOID cell which only contains half the number of chromosomes as the parent cell. This is why gamete cells in humans has 23 chromosomes so that when s***m cell fuse with o**m cell, it produces zygote with 46 chromosomes.

What’s the difference between antibody and antibiotics?

Antibody is a protein produced by our body to fight against pathogens which cause disease.

Meanwhile antibiotics is an anti microbial substance that fight against bacteria which is man made.

Please take note that antbiotics can only fight against bacteria meanwhile antibody can fight against all type of pathogens like virus, bacteria and fungi.

Do you know who determines the gender of the baby? Mother or Father???🤔

Gender of baby is indirectly determined by the father due to the presence of XY chromosome in father. 😁😁😁

Due to these, fathers s***m cell contains either X or Y chromosome. Meanwhile, mothers o**m contains only X chromosome.

If an o**m receives s***m cell with X chromosome, we have a baby GIRL here!!!🤩 This is because the s*x chromosome in the baby is XX which is for the female gender👍🏻

On the other side, if an o**m receives s***m cell with Y chromosome, we have a baby boy now!!!😎 This is because the s*x chromosome in the baby is XY which for the male gender👌

Is it true that plants only inhale CO2 ??🤔

The answer is NO😇

Plants are able to conduct Photosynthesis and Respiration. Bear in mind that only plants can do photosynthesis! But all living organisms can do respiration🤩

Photosynthesis is a process in which CO2 gas is inhaled and O2 is exhaled in order to make food in the form of starch.

Meanwhile during respiration, all living organism including plants will inhale O2 and exhale CO2 in order to obtain energy from starch.

Hope I have cleared some doubts from all the dear students.

Do you know that VIRUS is not classified as a living thing??🤔🤔🤔

And why is this?

First of all, without a host cell, the virus simply can’t replicate. Viruses hijacks the reproductive equipment of a host-cell, redirecting it to photocopy the genetic code of the virus and seal it inside a container known as capsid.

Secondly, virus must assemble themselves by taking control of the host cell. Other living organisms can self divide.

Finally, virus doesn’t need to consume energy to survive nor is able to regulate its own temperature. Which means, viruses can survive on nothing. HOW I WISH I CAN DO THAT!😂😁
