We are delighted to announce that Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ayaz Khan assumed the charge of Acting Medical Director MTI-Khyber Teaching Hospital Peshawar.

Professor Muhammad Ayaz Khan is Professor of Orthopedic and spine surgery Khyber medical college Peshawar. After MBBS from KMC he did FCPS ORTHOPAEDIC surgery from college of physician and Surgeons Pakistan Fellowship in spine surgery from Queen medical Centre Nottingham UK.

Prof. Ayaz is also CPSP supervisor in Orthopedic and spine surgery. He Established spine surgery specialty and it's accreditation by CPSP for FCPS spine surgery in KTH. 60 publications in national and international journals.

According to him, as team work will take Khyber Teaching Hospital towards further improvement and provide all possible services to the patients and fulfill the vision and mission of Board of Governors MTI - KMC/KTH/KCD.

In Pakistan, close to 7,000 cases of clubfoot are reported each year but only 5 to 10 per cent of them receive adequate treatment.

Cadaveric Workshop on “THORACOLUMBAR TRAUMA"

Proximal Femoral Focal Deficiency (PFFD) is a congenital condition caused by a defect in the primary ossification center of the proximal femur that may present with an absent hip, femoral neck pseudoarthrosis, absent femur, or a shortened femur.

This 15 year’s old male patient was operated for left PFFD. SUBTROCH VALGUS OSTEOTOMY was done by well known orthopaedic peads suregeon , associate proffesor dr. Sikandar hayat in OBW kth.

Fixation for Tuberculosis spine through ANTERIOR APPROACH is one of the difficult approach. This was done successfully by PROF . Dr AYAz in orthopaedic B unit KTH. Tb spine at L2 level in a young lady for which CAGE FIXATION is done patient is stable with intact neurology.
