Mental health and Covid19 What is stressing you? We are facing unprecedented times we are faced with a pandemic. Being confined within our homes, with limited movement the future full of uncertainty all of this causing us stress, which is not good on our overall mental health. Most of us have cancelled our year plans as our lives are on a standstill however there are ways we can utilise in order to be able to cope and handle the stress we are going through that is to:
Exersice
Speak to someone you trust vent out your feelings
Make time to unwind do all the activities you like
It's up to you today to start making healthy choices that are not just good for your body but also goid for your mind.

Stigma is when someone sees you in a negative way because of your mental illness. Discrimination is when someone treats you in a negative way because of your mental illness, social stigma can stop one from getting the help he or she needs let's break the stigma.

"It's okay not to be okay" usually when one is not okay he or she becomes sick, stressed or may even feel wary. Mental health is not a destination but a a process its about how you drive not where you are going, therefore its a journey one which you do not have to go through alone.

Alot of people experience mental health concerns from time to time. But a Mental health concern becomes a Mental illness when ongoing signs and symptoms cause frequent stress and affect ones ability to function. A mental illness can not only make you feel miserable but can also cause disruptions in your daily life by affecting and impacting negatively on your school work, work, social life, relationships.

Mental illness sometimes also referred to as mental health disorders refers to a wide range of mental health conditions that can affect ones mood, thoughts and behaviour. Examples of such mental illnesses include depression which is one of the most common psychiatric disorders and second leading cause of disability, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, eating disorders and addictive behaviours.
