Tonight Coach Brummett coached her last team, the TGCA 5A/6A All Star Blue team. Senior Taylor Reid was selected as one of only 24 from across the state to represent her school, Taylor High School, as an All-Star on the blue team. We are so proud of Taylor and wish Coach Brummett a very happy retirement.

Our first senior spotlight is Ashlyn McFarlin:

Hi y’all I’m Ashlyn McFarlin! I was one of the Varsity Captains this year and have been on the team for all four years! I will miss cheer so much, but I’m so thankful for all the wonderful memories and friends I have made through cheer. Some of my favorite memories are the bus rides to football games, stunting at football games, and themed practices. While at Taylor, I have been involved in NHS, PALS, and FCCLA. I will be attending UTSA next year and majoring in environmental science to hopefully go into research. I’m so grateful for all the supportive coaches and teammates who made cheer amazing throughout these past 4 years!

Please let any incoming Taylor HS students know. We’d love to meet them.

Join us in congratulating junior Taylor Reid and Coach Brummett!! Taylor was selected as both an All-State and an All-Star Cheerleader!! This is her second year in a row as an All-State team member and her first as an All-Star! Coach Brummett was also selected as the 5A-6A All-Star coach for the blue team! We are so proud of them both!! We know they’ll represent Taylor High School well!!
