Culinary Arts students enjoyed a plating challenge today. Vote for your favorite

Baking and Pastry students made rainbow bagels, croissants, and focaccia for our yeast breads unit. We are now working on cake decorating. We used instant potatoes to practice different methods. Never a dull moment with these kiddos.

Culinary Arts and Success 101 classes were able to tour our very own Kiowa Locker. Thank you to Rick Hitchcock for the excellent tour and valuable information given to these seniors.

Human Growth and Development students have been busy learning about pregnancy, birth, and caring for a newborn. Here are just a few examples of what we have been doing in class. Thank you to the Monty Thompson Continuing Education Fund for purchasing this fetal development kit for the department.

FCCLA members are excited and getting ready for a fun Daddy/Daughter dance this Saturday! We will be dancing from 6-8pm at the grade school! Come join us!

FCCLA members spent some time today painting parking spots! Lots of laughter and fun was had by all!

Culinary Art students planned and prepared dishes from five different countries around the world. Individually, they researched their country, found applicable recipes they could make during class, prepared those dishes, and presented to their peers and guests. Much responsibility was placed on these students and they were “out of this world”!!

Success 101 students have been reviewing financial services along with the various types of insurance. We had the opportunity to visit The First State Bank and talk with Derek Heaton and Justin Binder.

Nutrition and Wellness students have been busy learning about the six essential nutrients and getting their ServSafe food handlers certificates! This group has rocked these last three days and will test tomorrow!

Culinary Arts students have been learning about meats and beef. We were able to tour the Kiowa Locker and have been learning all kinds of interesting facts.

Spring Break is right around the corner but first an update on some of the FCS classes!! Baking and Pastry has been busy. Here are some pictures of our awesome bakers at work!

Happy Valentines Day!! Today our FCCLA chapter delivered handmade cards to the Kiowa District Manor to spread a little love 💕!!

FCCLA week!! Started off our week today having lunch with our 3rd grade little buddies! Such a fun time and we all enjoyed recess!! Thanks Mrs. Probst for sharing your class with us!

Pies..Pies..and Handpies!! Thank you to Mrs. Davis for coming to help out the Culinary Arts students and the Culinary Essential class with pie making. We had great success and hopefully they won’t eat before Thanksgiving!

November Buddies! We had a great time doing all things Thanksgiving and sharing our ideas with several 3rd graders. They made a huge turkey for their classroom.

We had a great FCCLA 3rd grade Lil Buddies tonight! We started the night off making some Bootiful bats, Guessed the amount of candy corns in a bottle, played pumpkins in the pumpkin patch, and had a excellent Dirt and worms with an orange pumpkin drink!

FCS Culinary Arts class enjoy the art of making spring rolls. Thanks to the Kiowa Community Garden for the wonderful vegetables and greens. Baking and Pastry class muddle kiwi for Strawberry Kiwi Lemonade. It was yummy!

FCCLA members take some time out on a beautiful afternoon to paint parking spaces for their school! Beautiful day and a fun way to show school spirit!
