🥳 🥳Charity of the Year Nominations🥳🥳
It's that time of year again, when MedSoc decides on the charity they want to support for the next year! Previous charities have included St. Luke's Hospice most recently, MIND Sheffield, Mums in Need and SToRMS. If there's a charity you'd like to see MedSoc raise money and awareness for next, please fill in the form with their name, web address, whether they are Sheffield-based, and a brief description of their work and why you think they'd benefit from being our charity of the year. You can nominate any charity you'd like, but even better if they're local! Once nominations close, we'll put up a vote for all the nominated charities so people can chose their favourite. If they're chosen, Med Soc will raise money and awareness for their cause over the next year!
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask - just drop MedSoc a message and we'll try to answer them! Can't wait to see what amazing charities get nominated this year!!💙

Hey, Final Years! 💙💛💙
It's almost time for your Mock OSCE!
This will take place on the 6th, 7th and 8th March at the Medical School - please arrive for registration at 6pm on B floor. You will receive an email with room allocations and an introduction video a day or two before the event, so please keep an eye on your emails.
Sign up here: https://m.signupgenius.com/ #!/showSignUp/70a0f4aacab2ba6f94-finals (please read the description!)
We will also have a Mock SBA-style session very kindly run by Dr James Gray, which will include a 40-question Mock Paper that will be sat in exam conditions, followed by a short break and explained answers. This will be at 6pm at the medical school and we will allocate you to either MLT1 or MLT 2 upon arrival. If you usually have extra time, please inform one of MedSoc on arrival so we can make sure you get this.
Both the MOSCE and the Mock SBAs have elements that will be included in Dr Gray's PhD research - again you will be sent further information via email and please read this prior to the events taking place.
Finally, we know finals season is super stressful so please look after yourself at this time. Taking care of your wellbeing and mental health is just as, if not more important than anything you are doing to prepare, so make sure to take breaks to do what you enjoy!
Good luck!
Beth and Mac - Academic Team 💙💛💙
