Ms. Sara Mendez, 8th grade English Language Development Teacher at Monmouth-Roseville Junior High School, has been named the 2024 Bilingual Teacher of the Year by the Illinois State Board of Education. Ms. Mendez is now one of 15 teachers across the state who are part of the 2024 Teacher of the Year Cohort. She is also now a finalist for Ilinois Teacher of the Year. State Superintendent Dr. Tony Sanders surprised Ms. Mendez with the news of her award via Zoom on February 1. Now that the official announcement has been made, the district is excited to celebrate Ms. Mendez and her achievements with a presentation at tonight’s Board of Education meeting. Please join us in congratulating Sara Mendez, the 2024 Illinois Bilingual Teacher of the Year.

The board meeting scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, January 9th has been moved to WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 10th at 6 p.m. at the high school LMC due to the upcoming weather forecast.

Thanksgiving Holiday

This is the Monmouth-Roseville School District with a reminder to our parents that there will be no school Wednesday, November 22nd through Friday, November 24th in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Additionally, school will be released early on Tuesday, November 21st at the following times:

The Monmouth Morning Pre-K releases at 10:50 a.m.

The Monmouth PM Pre-K releases at 1:50 p.m.

The Roseville Pre-K will release at 1:20 p.m.

The Junior High will release at 1:50 p.m.

Lincoln, Harding and Central will release at 2:00 p.m.

The High School will release at 2:08 p.m.

Monmouth-Roseville School District #238 has moved to a new student information system called Skyward Qmlativ.

Online registration will open Tuesday, August 1st. You will receive an email with the link to Skyward Qmlativ Family Access as well as your username and password.

Early Release for 4-4-23

This is the Monmouth-Roseville School District with an announcement for our parents and students. Out of an abundance of caution due to the threat of severe weather later this afternoon we will release students today at 1:30 p.m.

Schools will be released at the following times:

The Monmouth Morning Pre-K and Full Day Pre-K will release at 11:20 a.m.

The Monmouth PM Pre-K is canceled

The Roseville Pre-K will release at 12:45 p.m.

The Junior High will release at 1:10 p.m.

Lincoln, Harding and Central will release at 1:30 p.m.

The High School will release at 1:15 p.m.

All after school activities, games and practices are canceled
