Department of English offers a graduation level study program in English Language which includes focus on extensive training in Language Skills, Language Systems, ELT, Linguistics, Translation, IELTS, TOEFL, English Literature etc. Department of English, College of Arts & Sciences, King Khalid University at Alnamas is a centre of excellence for the study of English Language where students from nook and corner of the Kingdom come to study English and enrich their lives forever preparing themselves for successful professional life. The Department of English aims to prepare highly qualified English graduates enabling them to work successfully in public and private sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Vision of the Department of English:
The Department of English at Alnamas assumes to be a center of excellence among the departments of English at King Khalid University in order to serve the community and play a positive role in research and academic development. Message:
The Department of English at Alnamas is dedicated to prepare high quality graduates in English Language who are competent to carry out their professional duties and can stand high in representing their national and Islamic values around the world. Objectives:
1. To prepare English graduate of excellent quality and behavior who are fluent in English and competent enough to work in various fields of public and private sectors
2. To prepare the students of high academic orientation who are ready to pursue higher studies and scientific research in various areas of the English language
3. To provide students with the basic concepts and theories and recent trends in English
4. To enable students to understand the culture of the English language and to take advantage of this knowledge to promote the values of civilizational and cultural communication
5. To develop creative thinking among the students
6. To arrange training courses for all sectors of society and meet the training needs of government agencies in the field of English language
