The American Corner - Apia, Samoa was happy to open up this space for students to hear from the US Embassy Chargé d'Affaires, Jonathan Lee Yoo and The Fulbright Program, Fulbright Foreign Scholar Sefuiva Moeumu Uili about our role as stewards and guardians for our Earth.

EducationUSA Samoa hosted another advising session at the American Corner in Apia on March 18. Approximately 5 students from the National University of Samoa were present along with 7 students from 4 different colleges.

Advisees learned about Step #1 of the 5 Steps to U.S. Study: Research Your Options. U.S. Embassy encouraged students to look in the right direction when selecting a college or university. Topics ranging from knowing what their field of study is to cost of tuition to scholarships, were discussed.

U.S. Embassy Apia conducted two English tutorial sessions at the American Corner on Saturday, March 13. Almost 30 students were present from seven different colleges along with students from the National University of Samoa.

Students completed English Grammar and English Sentence Structure worksheets and the upperclassmen worked on their descriptive writing skills.

English tutorials are offered at the American Corner on Saturdays from 9 AM to 12 noon. Please call 20118 or email [email protected]
