Next week, Wed. 21st, we will be having conferences. There will not be class as normal. Instead you will need to come with your child at the time upon which you have already worked out with the school.

School photos will be taken on March 15 and 16, 2012. Individual as well as class photos will be taken. Teachers and assistant tearchers will be available to help students prepare for their portraits on the scheduled day. Pls have your children dress in their red PE uniform shirts that day.

On the first and third Saturday mornings, from 9 to 11 am, ISSP will be hosting a mother, father, and babies under 18 months program. Please come and join with us.

Tet Festival 2012 at ISSP campus on Jan 13

The International School Saigon Pearl (ISSP) will hold TET FESTIVAL 2012 – with main theme "Tet of My Country" - from 15.00 to 19.00 on Friday, January 13, 2012 at ISSP campus, 92 Nguyen Huu Canh, Ward 22, Binh Thanh Dist., HCMC.
This Festival creates a chance to gather together, welcome traditional Lunar New Year, and discover Vietnamese culture through a lot of meaningful activities.

Tet Festival 2012 offers an opportunity for all participants to enjoy many atractive perfomances of ISSP’s students, teachers and staff; participate in cultural activities featuring folk games and traditional class throughout the school. Many traditional crafts, traditional activities of Vietnam will take place at artistic exhibition. You can visit and learn about calligraphy at Ong Do Street, know more about Vietnamese famous traditional crafts like D**g Ho Painting and Bat Trang pottery at D**g Ho Street and Bat Trang Street. In addition, all participants have chance to take part in bamboo dancing or try rural bridge at Folk Street. They are able to enjoy coconut leaf art, shadow-cutting photo, flour art at Art Street as well.

This is also an occasion for children to play and learn. They can join in many folk games; for example, tug of war, jumping bag, flag race, damming drum, carry water, throwing shuttlecock, etc. There are interesting prizes for winners. Furthermore, children may achieve a lot in traditional classes where they will learn about calligraphy, folding coconut leaf, how to make a dragon of clay, etc. Children can get a lot of fun when doing and obtaining something by themselves in folks games and traditional classes.

When coming to Tet Festival at ISSP, participants can feel holiday atmosphere by seeing, listening, playing and tasting. People can enjoy many traditional foods which are very common with Vietnamese families in Tet holiday, as well.

Sports Day 2011

Students will be dismissed after lunch on Friday, Dec. 16, 2011.

On Thursday, December 15th and 16th, from 8:30 to 10:00 am will be Sports day for this semester. We will be having a number of fun activities outside on the soccer field.

The International School Saigon Pearl (ISSP) will organize ISSP BOOK FAIR. The event will be hold on Saturday, December 3rd from 8:00 A.M. through 1:00 P.M at ISSP, 92 Nguyen Huu Canh, Ward 22, Binh Thanh Dist. HCMC.

Along with an extensive variety of great books, ISSP Book Fair offers many developmental items, and activity kits that encourage exploration, self-expression, creative problem-solving, and other important skills. The Book Fair includes more than 10,000 quality English books, teacher materials, entertaining products for use in school and at home. There is a strong connection between book fairs and the development of children’s literacy. With each book fair, more children and families are given access to great books.

The Book Fair will feature games and child-friendly activities for family enjoyment: Face Painting, Fun with Lego, Food & Drinks: New Zealand Ice Cream, Popcorn, M*F Coffee, and much more! We encourage all families to join us for a fun-filled morning; adult supervision is required for children.. Entrance is free. Don’t miss out!

Fresh Water Presentation of Grade 2 ISSP

Welcome to ISSP Annual Book Fair from Dec 1-3!

The annual Book Fair will take place from Thu- Sat (Dec 1-3) from 7:30AM-4:30PM at ISSP. On Saturday Dec 3, the book fair opens to the SG Pearl community from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. You are all invited to enjoy special activities for children: lego, face painting, New Zealand ice-cream, handicrafts and popcorn!

Parents Coffee November 16, 2011

Wait no more! P.D (Professional Development) Day is coming. No school for students on Nov 18! Yuppi!!!

Parent Coffee Morning will be held on Nov 16 at 8AM in the Library . There's not a better chance to share your views and learn more about our student's learning activities! Welcome all parents

ISSP is a Terry Fox Registration Center. For this year, the run will be held in Phu My Hung. All proceeds from the run remains in Vietnam to assist with cancer research and treatment. Parents, students, and companies - anyone can register for the November 27th, 2011 run. The teachers will be participating in this event. And we hope that we will have many parents and students involved as well.

Faculties and friends gathered up at ISSP Saturday night to celebrate Halloween Bash in a cozy fun environment.

Trick-or-Treat 2011 !!

We were very fortunate to have UMA come to our school to give free face paints for our students. The students absolutely loved the different types of animals they can choose from to be painted on their face. This was a great oppurtunity for students to be expose to the American culture and learn about the Halloween
holiday.
