WE HAVE MISSED OUR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES SO MUCH!!!

In order to safely reopen and follow Governor Mike DeWine’s limited ratio classroom guidelines of 6 infants, 6 toddlers, 9 preschoolers and 9 school-agers per classroom we are asking our parents to submit their intentions to return through email, by MONDAY MAY 25, 2020. This allows us to plan for our reopening on June 1, 2020. Our centers are still currently under stay at home orders so no phone calls please.

To ensure your return request is received, you must email us at [email protected]

Please follow the following format:

Subject line: Return Request

Compose:
1. Your name and contact phone number
2. Each child’s name and age
3. Days and times for each day of the week needed

Our temporary hours of operation will be Monday-Friday 5am-10pm. This allows us to do the necessary cleaning and sanitizing to adequetely prepare for the next day.

After we receive your Return Request, we will contact you regarding your family's return for the needed time period.

Our mission is to be in compliance with the state’s limited ratios and safety guidelines while serving as many of our families as possible. As always, our goal is to serve our families with the highest quality of care in a safe, clean and loving environment. We will continue to do this with the fullest regards to keeping your children and our staff safe.

ATTENTION FAMILIES: It is with our deepest apologies that we make this announcement. Due to Governor DeWine's Press Conference today, March 22, 2020 and the impending changes that have been put forth, the WARREN and LISBON ECP locations will be CLOSED until further notice. YOUNGSTOWN WILL REMAIN OPEN through Wednesday. Beginning Thursday March 26,2020, the Youngstown Center will be CLOSED until further notice. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and pray that this pandemic elapses quickly. We also pray for all of our families and communities to remain vigilant and healthy. We look forward to our families returning as soon as possible! As many of you may know, ECP has a reputation for never closing, as we take our commitment to our children and families very personally. This decision was made with a heavy heart and the utmost consideration to the families we humbly serve. The ECP family asks you all to continue to trust our commitment and we will notify you all when reopening is deemed appropriate and to the highest safety quality.

ATTENTION FAMILIES:
Eagle's Christian Preschool & Childcare will remain OPEN with additional health and safety procedures in place beginning Monday, March 16th. We ask that everyone remain patient as instructions unfold from state officials so we may continue to provide safe and quality care to the families and communities we service. Information regarding these new procedures will be forthcoming.

**Our FREE Kindergarten Readiness Preschool program in partnership with the Ohio Department of Education begins Tuesday September 3rd. Space is still available for this program, runs M-F 9am until 12pm and includes lunch. Please call your local center for more information!

Recently, a teacher for a child at Eagle’s Christian Preschool & Childcare jokingly made an extremely idiotic and foolish statement to the mother of the infant she was caring for. She told the parent her voice was hoarse from yelling at the mother’s child all day. That was absolutely a false statement. Anyone who knows this person knows her voice is always like this, and was like this long before she came to work at ECP. What it showed was poor judgment and a lack common sense to say something so horrendous and untrue to a parent let alone a new parent who had only been at our center for a few days. we spoke with the mother by phone to address her concerns and offered to meet her to review the video and audio footage; she agreed to meet with us but never showed up. The video confirms there was no hollering, her child was never left alone, without adult supervision and her child was fed several times throughout the day. We keep video to protect the children but to also to see what’s going on in each classroom at all times. There’ve also been some former employees that have jumped on the negative bandwagon, but please keep in mind, in most cases they are former employees for a reason and almost always, it wasn’t by their choice. Facebook and Social Media only tells one side of the story.
We initially weren’t going to respond to all of the one-sided, negative social media attacks on our school and the assassination of a reputation we worked so hard to build over the years. However, after talking with many teachers and staff, who were in shock and in tears because of their commitment and love for children, we felt we needed to give a response but not an excuse. We believe turning the other cheek does not mean allowing yourself to be punched in the face repeatedly.
Eagle’s Christian Preschool & Childcare’s mission is to offer a high quality educational program with a Christian emphasis that promotes the child’s total growth and development: Spiritually, Morally, Intellectually, Emotionally, Socially and Physically. Our program was established to Glorify God as we provide a distinctive educational service to the community. Our promise is when we can no longer accomplish this mission, no one will have to try and shut us down, we will voluntarily close the doors and cease to operate. The enemy is a liar and wants nothing more but to kill, steal and destroy, that which is good and will use any means necessary, including making foolish comments and using negative social media to do so. We are 100% committed to do everything in our power to create a safe and loving environment for each and every child who attends our center. Children are children, accidents and incidents will always happen; including in their very own homes, but it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s abuse or neglect.
Caring for your children is a privilege, but it also allows us to do many things in the community, from Father Daughter Dances, Unity in the Community Parades, Relationship Seminars, Fatherhood Programs, Youth Leadership and Mentoring for High School Students and much more. In every instance, we have operated at a financial loss realizing the benefit of heavenly gain.
We are in the process of taking the necessary steps to restore our damaged reputation. We are asking those who truly love ECP or know of the good we have done, not allow the negative narrative stand. Please support ECP by posting and sharing this letter along with any additional positive comments and reviews; In addition, to any person who wants one, we will have yard signs available in the coming weeks which will allow you to proudly show your public support, all you have to do is request them. Finally, if you know of a teacher or staff member who currently works for ECP, please give them some positive words of encouragement. Help us to let our light shine in your children.

As we continue to expand and grow in enrollment at our Warren location, we are looking for teachers that hold either a Bachelor's degree or an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education. We are also looking to train teachers that hold a Bachelor's degree in any field, as well as, teacher aides that have a high school diploma. All applicants must have a love for children, comfortable with working in a Christian environment, and available to work afternoon and evening shifts.
