Job Summary
Flying HIGH, Inc. seeks a qualified STNA instructor. This is a contract position.
The STNA Instructor provides direct instruction to State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) students, assuring all regulatory required instruction in delivered in accordance with state specific requirements. Will maintain all compliance-related documentation as required. Ensures STNA students are prepared to pass state required testing to become a State Tested Nursing Assistant.
An instructor is primarily responsible for the daily management of the classroom including providing relevant content instruction, developing and implementing innovative teaching strategies, supporting the mission of the school in providing quality of education, coordinating appropriate clinical experiences to meet the learning needs of students and effectively communicating in a timely manner with program director regarding professional and student needs. Instructors also serve as ongoing evaluators of the developed curriculum.
Students will gain clinical experience in working with the elderly, the mentally ill, and the disabled. The course runs for 30 days and upon completion, students will have the knowledge and skills needed to obtain employment in the health care industry. Students will be trained in observation skills, monitoring vital signs, body mechanics, communication skills, infection control, care of pressure ulcers, disease process/disorders, restorative nursing, safety, and the state survey process. Graduates are expected to have competency in; Nurse Aide Skills, CPR Training, First Aid Training, Blood Borne Pathogens Certification.
