We are so proud of our YSUSHI alumni. Tonight during dinner at the MVR, our students heard from Levi Smith, entrepreneur and co-owner of Coze Coffee Bar at Whitehouse Fruit Farms which he opened with his twin sister when they were freshman at YSU! Tomorrow we will hear from Michael Miller who is studying film in NYC after taking the Documentary Film class at YSUSHI. His sister came all the way from Florida to attend our program this year.

We couldn't have ordered better weather for the 2018 YSUSHI. Our students are having a great time exploring our campus and community and we are excited to have them with us this week!

We are continuing to accept applications for the 2018 YSU Summer Honors Institute. Crime Scene Investigation and Robotics are closed, but the following classes have space available: Coding Python with Raspberry Pi, Math & Magic, Don't Be Nervous: It's Just the Way You Move, Documentary Filmmaking, Exploring Youngstown and its People, Healthcare for the 21st Century, and Rapid Prototyping.

Applications for the 2018 YSU Summer Honors Institute are due April 6. More information and application packets may be found here:

Applications for the YSU 2018 Summer Honors Institute are due April 4! This year's Institute will take place July 9-12 with options to stay on campus or commute back and forth from home. For more information, visit: http://www.ysu.edu/academics/honors-college/summer-honors-institute.

Application deadline extended to Friday, March 17. Closed classes include Crime Scene Investigation, Engineering, Coding Python, and Healthcare but others are open!

It's a beautiful morning for Day 5 of the Summer Honors Institute. What an amazing week of learning and connecting it has been. We hope that many of the students we have hosted this week will decide to join our family!

Day 4 and we are at 98% attendance today! Pretty impressive numbers!!!

Treated our residential students to a delicious dinner at Pressed Coffee Bar & Eatery tonight, followed by a visit to Oh Wow! Discovered while we were there that Frank, the co-owner of Pressed is a YSU grad and alum of YSU Honors!

Congratulations, YSUSHI 2016 students on 99% attendance today!

Great start to Day 3 of the YSU Summer Honors Institute. We certainly are getting our steps in this week and so far the weather has cooperated beautifully!!!
