Megkezdődött a Fiedler100 centenáriumi emlékév...
Azonban, amíg Po***cknál a festékrétegek ellenére leláthatunk a vászonig, addig Fiedler vastagon befedi a vásznat festékkel. Alapozásnál és a festmény felületén is használta a gipszet, amelybe kaparással és véséssel ábrázolt. A festővászon gipsszel történő előkészítését a középkori reneszánsz mesterek óta alkalmazzák. Mind Saint-Paul-de-Vence-ban, mind később Párizsból kiköltözve a Fontainebleau-i erdő környékén saját műtermében és kertjében átadhatta magát a szabadban alkotás élményének.

Will there be a kids' craft and Christmas day again this year?
Looks interesting. I'm adding it to my list of things I want to visit.
When might the Butler reopen?
Terrible redesign of the Butler Institute of American Art website. Why make it so difficult to find what current exhibits are on display?
A very LARGE thank you to The Butler Institute of American Art for a wonderful artists reception yesterday. The 83rd National MidYear Show is a beautiful exhibit. Proud to be a part of it.
Something of the ephemeral nature today. This is a scan of a letter that a Warren G. Harding student wrote to Henry Butler (son of the founder of the museum) about a visit to the museum. The painting by Charles Harold Davis was the most popular one mentioned by the students.
Please help this October to Light Up Downtown Pink for breast cancer awareness month. Please shine pink spot lights on your beautiful building to remember lost loved ones, honor survivors an to save lives by reminding everyone to get tested. Thank You.
l haven't seen the usual publicity for this weekend. In previous years there were Vindicator ads, TV promotions and more. Looking forward to going but why isn't there more publicity?
I know it has been years but curious why you no longer host Abbey Road this time of year? It was always such a beautiful event!
