Jr High Student Council Party! Today is a busy day at Intermediate!
Ms. Elson, Ms. Carter, and Mr. Hull's class has been learning about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
Our 6-8th Grade Student of the Week is Mia Jackson. Her teacher wrote "Mia exemplifies Love More, Expect More, Be More in everything she does. Mia's work ethic is top notch. She consistently comes to class prepared and ready to learn. Her hard work and her kind heart are contagious!"
Today: 3rd grade Science measured 50 kidney beans to look for variations and learned how to collect and record their data.
Our 3-5th Grade Student of the Week is Elliana Anderson.
Elianna enjoys reading books. She loves anime, specifically HunterXHunter. When she is older, Elianna wants to be an interior designer or an author. Her teacher wrote "Elianna is a bright student. She comes in eager to learn about everything. She always has a question to ask."
We had a busy day today with Fraction Curling, math games, and one class had an ice cream party 🎈 🍦 🧮

In science club, students are taught a well-rounded science education along with technology. We research scientific concepts and write scripts to create videos so that we can teach other students what we learn in science. Students are responsible for creating, videoing, and editing the videos.

Our 3-5th Grade Student of the Week is Caleb Cortez. His teacher wrote, "Caleb has been a star in the classroom. He is focused and helps his classmates to refocus if they get off task. He truly works hard in the classroom." Caleb enjoys to play soccer and baseball. He wants to be a police officer when he is older.
Our 6-8th Grade Student of the Week is Shawn Barnett. His teacher wrote, “Shawn has been an exemplary student all year. He is very respectful and has a love of learning. He also has had an A in all three quarters in math class.”
Shawn is part of the math club. His future endeavors include wanting to be a science teacher. He loves math and science.
Hello VCS Family,
Due to a heating issue, we will not have school at the Central Campus 3-8th Grade Intermediate Building tomorrow Monday, April 4th.
All other campuses which include Pleasant Grove Elementary School, Lewis Center, and High School will have school tomorrow as normal.
We fully anticipate having this issue fixed tomorrow and will update you when we have more information.

Yesterday, we had the opening ceremony for 3rd grade Math Olympics!
Congratulations to the 5th graders from Central Campus who competed in the Youngstown State University Science Fair today. Aliyah Jones, Armond DuVal, Kayden McKinney and Nahum Graham all received Excellent Ratings with cash prizes. Makaela Pippins and Joshua Lassalle Luckey received Superior ratings and will be competing at the Ohio State Science Fair this May.
