We're hiring! Join the IT Workforce Accelerator team as a Contracted Instructor in Networking & Telecommunications! This is an as-needed position that will help build our programs.

The instructor will design, develop, and deliver engaging and effective workforce training programs in the field of networking and telecommunications. Specific areas of focus on, but not limited to, CompTIA, Cisco, Broadband Infrastructure, Fiber, 5G and related technologies. One of our favorite events from this semester was the Hobby Hunt, a collaborative event hosted by James P. Tressel Institute for Leadership and Teamwork and Sokolov Honors College at Youngstown State 🎨🩰🧶

Inspired by the Tressel Institute badge “My Personal Journey,” this event gave students the freedom to learn and grow, finding hobbies that can motivate them on their academic and personal journeys. We hope everyone can make a little extra time for hobbies during Winter Break!

Thank you to the for having our IT Workforce Team at the Great Lakes Tech Show in Cleveland, OH!🌐 It was a wonderful opportunity for us to share about our programs and network with organizations from Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio!

The Youngstown State University IT Workforce Accelerator table is set-up at the Great Lakes Tech Show in Cleveland, OH! 🌐 We are extremely excited about this opportunity and our team can't wait to network and bring the YSU IT Workforce Accelerator to the nation! 🚀 Stay tuned!

Exciting news!✨ Youngstown State University has been chosen to lead the charge in expanding Ohio's Broadband and 5G Sector partnership! 📶 This move will create a regional hub to drive 5G and Broadband training, bridging the workforce gap and empowering local communities!

Today our team took a walk to visit our future home 🏠: Silvestri Hall! It will be a state-of-art facility and it will serve as our headquarter, hosting 3 of our 6 centers! Stay tuned as we share more information in the upcoming weeks!

Youngstown State University was commissioned by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to conduct a national and regional energy storage labor market study through research, stakeholder interviews and a series of workshops. The feedback was clear...we need a one stop hub to help industry, academia, government, and workforce leaders come together to collectively build scalable and sustainable workforce and innovation. Its time to break down organizational and geographic silos so that we can get the job done!
