It was a great night for football. It was also our annual Childhood Cancer Awareness night. We were proud to honor one of our own, Nyceria, as she continues to recover. We also had several Rebel Pride members representing in the FC Choir. Plus we got a big win over Columbia!

Next week will be our first home game. We are asking everyone please sign up for at least 1 game. Also we will be cleaning the concession stand Saturday, August 20 at 10 am until about 12. Please help us have a very successful football season!

Here are the main points from tonight's meeting for those who were unable to join us. First of all a huge hanks to all that came out.
1. Football season is rapidly approaching. We need volunteers to work. If every band student had one person work one game, tit would be covered. There is a Sign up Genius link that has been posted. We are working towards making concessions easier.
2. We now have a Remind account for updates as well. I will post that info soon.
3. If anyone has a truck and would be able to pull a band trailer let us know. We have 2 parents that can, but it's always good to have a back up in case of emergencies.
4. If you would like a tshirt like the kids, be watching for ordering information soon.
5. Also be looking for fund raiser information coming home in the next few weeks.

Reminder

There will be a band backers meeting this Thursday, August 4 @ 6:00 in the band room. We look forward to seeing everyone for our first meeting for this school year.

FCHS Band photos are this afternoon, 8/3. Proofs will be sent to the school and distributed to the students if they wish to order. At this time there is no make-up day for fall sports or band photos. A make-up day will be considered in case of inclement weather or at the request of the coaches or band director.

There were four generations of Tennessee Tech flutists playing with the American Legion Post 44 Community Band concert this past weekend! Alumni Paula Watts and Skylar McGee, current student Autum Winston, and incoming freshman Kara Dolan all played together in the section this concert! Great to see our current and former students performing in the community 😄
