We know some of you may have seen us in the news this week. We did have an error in our mailing process, it wasn’t our intention, and we’ll do better in the future.
Here’s a statement from Tim Staley, our Chief Operating Officer at College Ave Student Loans, about the incident:
“We are sorry to hear of Dan's story, and we apologize for this error in our mailing process. We really appreciate Dan bringing this to our attention and have already put corrective measures in place to prevent this from happening again. We are also working with Dan directly on a remedy, including offering to collect and recycle the mail and compensating him for the inconvenience.
Regarding the interest rate on the loan, there was not an error. The rate matched what was disclosed when the loan was originated. We understand Mr. Cain may have some questions about the account and are working with him to resolve those.”

We love providing an altogether different (and uncomplicated!) path to student loans. We’re also former students, and many of us are parents, so we get where the stress comes from. Our personal and professional experiences have given us the skill to send stress packing. We don’t just like to say it, we built our business around it: when it comes to student loans, “You’ve got this, we’ve got you.”
