All of the delicious food from our potluck over break! Including Serbian Palacinke, Swedish Gravlax, Korean Kimchi Stew, French Ratatouille, Canadian Ketchup and All Dressed Crisps, Indian Chili Chicken, and Russian Salad!!!

A special thanks to Chef Milos for the fresh, honemade Palacinke deserts! And also for being such a gracious host!

International Club First Meeting

Hello all International Students of ECC!

We hope you have had a great break with lots of rest and good food. The International Club is ready for the first meeting, which will be held on Friday January 27th at 2 pm in the Spring Student Center Cafeteria. Meetings will be held every two weeks, on Fridays.

Some of the events we have planned this semester include:

Ice Skating
Hockey Games
Potluck Dinners

... And more!

Come to the meeting to share your ideas and suggestion for what the club should do this semester and take the opportunity to get to know people from all over the world – See you there!

Take a break from studying for your finals and join the International Club and International Student Services down at the Harbor Centre to Root for the Erie Kats Men’s Ice hockey team as they face UB’s Acha Bulls!
There will be pizza provided and great Ice Hockey, so make sure you don’t miss out J

This Thursday September 15th, 2016 marks the date of the Chinese Moon Festival.
It is a special time in China for families together, to enjoy a meal together and share a special snack baked only for this festival.
The baked good is called a Moon Cake in honor of the festival.
This holiday is similar to Thanksgiving in the USA.
It is associated with the end of summer and Fall Harvest time.
It is according to the Chinese Lunar Calendar so each year it is celebrated on a new date.
We at the International Student Services Office will offer a taste of moon cake ( as long as supplies last)
Mr.K was recently in New York City and brought back some moon cakes from Chinatown.
Some of our students also donated some moon cakes to be shared.
We hope you will stop by G-155 to say Hi and try a sample of Moon Cake J
