PARADE FOR WHS/WINTERS MILL!! June16th!!
Dear Class of 2020 Parents,

We are very excited to announce permission to have a Westminster High/Winters Mill Class of 2020 car procession/parade on Tuesday, June 16th! Cars or trucks loaded with 3-4 graduates should meet at Westminster High School stadium parking lot at 5:15 pm. As we are trying to limit the number of cars, we prefer if students team up and travel together. We want to be mindful of COVID and continue to practice the guidelines that have been put in place to keep everyone safe.

Upon arrival, vehicles will be directed to the appropriate location to line up. The procession will begin at 6 pm from the stadium lot, travel down Hook Road, turn right Gist Road, turn left Center Street, and end at Winters Mill. Due to limitations on the number of cards, we ask participants to use safe practices while carpooling for this event. Also, we also require the following per the Chief of Police:

• Please follow the necessary social distancing and masking guidelines.
• Please decorate your ride to show Owl Pride!
• Participants must remain in the vehicle and seat belted at all times during the procession.
• Participants are permitted to ride in the bed of a pickup truck as long as they remain seated during the entire procession. Participants are NOT permitted to sit along the edges or tailgate of the truck.
• Parents may choose a place to watch the procession and cheer on our graduates anywhere permissible along the procession route.

A special thanks to the Mayor of Westminster, Westminster Chief of Police and Mr. Baugher for making this happen. We hope you can join us as our graduates close this chapter at WHS and prepare to move on to the next chapter to come. Let’s send them off with a giant farewell cheer as ONE!

Sincerely,

Your WHS Class of 2020 Parent Boosters
