Official WHS class of 2016 Boosters page. Please send photos to [email protected].

Operating as usual

Whether you have a child still at WHS or not, just be aware of the traffic impact for the parade this year.

Westminster High School will be hosting a Homecoming Parade on Wednesday October 5 starting at 6:00p.m. The Parade will begin at Friendship Valley Elementary School. The Parade will turn left onto Gist Road and proceed to Hook Road where the Parade will turn right. From Hook Road the Parade will turn right onto Canon Way and proceed to Washington Lane, turning left. The Parade will then cross over Washington Road (Route 32) and end in the parking lot at
Westminster High School.

The Parade will be over at 6:30 p.m.

We know that Class of 2016 is going in all kinds of directions. And some will be joining various branches of the military. If you have any special advice or tips for these young adults (especially those of you who have served), feel free to share it here.

We know that Class of 2016 is going in all kinds of directions. If you have tips and tricks to share here for a student's first year in college, feel free to share it here. Even great deals for supplies.

On Monday evening, one of our families lost their house in a fire. They were unable to get anything out of the home except for what they were wearing at the time. West Middle and Westminster High School are collecting donated items for the family. If you are able to donate any item or gift card, you may drop them off at WHS between 7:30 and 3:30 in the Main Office or at West Middle between 8:00 and 4:00. The family is in need of clothing in the following sizes:

Women’s XL
Men’s Large (for father and teenage son)
Junior Medium (for teenage daughter)

Thank you for your consideration.

You probably already seen the email, but in case:

Graduating seniors: If you have any documents or files stored in your Carroll County Public Schools (CCPS) OneDrive or U Drive that you don't want to lose, you will need to move them to a personal storage device. On or about June 15, 2016, your CCPS accounts will be closed and any data that is stored will no longer be accessible. You will also lose access to any of the free Microsoft Office products that you may have downloaded on your personal devices using your CCPS account. See Mrs. Brunnett with any questions.

Last set of AP for your seniors. Here's hoping they do well!

One more stress almost over!

We are gearing up for our end of year activities. We are in need of over (100) volunteers for the After Prom Party.

Please make sure you go to the Signup Genius and volunteer to help.

If you did not receive the link to go to the Sign up Genius, please PM us with your email and it will be added

We will also need volunteers for the senior picnic which will be the last day of graduation rehearsal on June 6 around lunchtime. Please plan to help out if you can. It will be the last day our kids will be at Westminster High School.

Our LAST Parent Booster Meeting will be May 11 at 7:00 at WHS on 2nd floor in the cafeteria.

Well, it's AP Testing time.

We're still in need of volunteers for the After Prom Party - PM us if you can help!

Resist the urge to iron those gowns. Hang them up and let the wrinkles fall out.

Any senior who has Microsoft Office 365 via CCPS will lose access to the program over the summer after graduation. No word on when the access will be terminated, but make sure your senior is aware of that.

If the software access is granted under a younger sibling, that access will continue.

Make sure your senior has brought home his/her cap & gown.

On Monday, April 27, caps and gowns were distributed to your graduating senior(s).

If your student(s) has not yet received his/her cap and gown, please have him/her check with his/her advisor.

Please hang the gowns, as soon as they come home, to begin reducing the wrinkles caused by packaging. DO NOT IRON them as they WILL melt!

Hopefully all of you received the email from WHS about graduation information - if not, let us know, and we'll send it to you.

And here's the handy-dandy link to the booklet online: http://www2.carrollk12.org/Assets/file/WHS/Grad%202016%20booklet.pdf

Last one for our seniors!

Westminster High School will hold parent/teacher conferences on Thursday, March 10, 2016 between 4:00 and 7:00 PM. During this time, parents will be able to meet with their student's teachers, their administrator, and/or their school counselor. Appointment slots are in 10 minute increments and will fill up fast so we encourage you to call soon.

Just a reminder that we will have a meeting tomorrow night at 7:00 on the 2nd floor in the cafeteria. There is not a lot to go over but we will review our treasurer’s report and discuss the activities for the after prom party. It should not be very long.

This coming Saturday, October 24, the senior class will be hosting a movie night on the Field Hockey Field. We will be watching Insidious!!! It’s scary, bring a friend. Tickets will go on sale tomorrow in Mr. Bowersox room A201 for $5.00. Tickets will also be available the night of the movie but they will then cost $7.00. Limited refreshments will be available for purchase.

Due to lack of participation, the Homecoming parade scheduled for this evening has been cancelled. We hope to bring this tradition back next year. Our Homecoming football game will begin tonight at 7:00 pm, we hope to see you there.

Support our kids' fundraiser today (Sep 22) at Chipolte between 4 and 8.

Westminster High School’s Homecoming Committee is looking for volunteers to help chaperone our Homecoming Dance on Saturday, September 26th from 8-11 p.m. in the high school gymnasium.

This is our most well attended event of the year and the largest fundraiser for our Student Government Association so we are really in need of additional volunteers to help with chaperoning that night. If you are able to assist us on September 26th, please contact Lauren Kimble at the school at 410-751-3630

To volunteer at senior activities, you need volunteer training. After the regular meeting, there will be volunteer training. Good time to get it done!

HELP WHS get this!

Ravens RISE High School Football Showdown

The Baltimore Ravens are teaming up with the Baltimore Sun to present the Ravens RISE High School Football Showdown for the 2015 season!

Our WHS varsity football game on September 11 has the chance to be featured as next week’s Ravens RISE High School Football Showdown! Each week of the high school football regular season, fans will vote for an area high school football match-up to be featured by the Ravens and the Baltimore Sun. The selected game each week will receive visits from the Ravens mascot, Poe, and Baltimore Ravens Cheerleaders* and have their stadium outfitted in Ravens banners and flags. In addition, $500 donations will be awarded to each participating school's athletic department, with each team receiving t-shirts to commemorate their experience playing in the Ravens RISE High School Football Showdown.

Week 1 Ravens RISE High School Football Showdown – Dundalk @ Kenwood (9/4 @ 7 PM)
