No kids’ jiu jitsu class tonight
Josh’s Wednesday kids’ jiu jitsu class is canceled for
this week 1/22
[01/18/20] We will be open this morning for classes. I do not have access to my email server at this time, and therefore won’t be able to get a mass email out. If you know of anyone who is not on Facebook or Instagram, please pass along this message. Thank you.
We will evaluate the weather situation tomorrow morning and decide at that point whether or not to cancel classes.
As noted previously, for those competing tomorrow at The Good Fight tournament, it has been postponed to next Saturday the 25th.
ATTENTION***BECAUSE OF THE IMPENDING WEATHER, TOMORROW’S GOOD FIGHT TOURNAMENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO NEXT SATURDAY, THE 25TH.
Just a reminder and FYI for our newer students regarding our inclement weather policy...We do not always follow the decision of CCPS to cancel class. Safety always comes first, but there are many times when schools are closed, and the roads are clear by class time.
We will always post our decision to open or close on social media AND notify everyone via email by mid afternoon during weekdays. Saturday morning decisions will be made as early as possible.
In honor of National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Over the years, we have had the opportunity to get to know many officers from various agencies and their families. It has been a pleasure, and we thank them for their service!!

We would like to wish all of our students, families and friends a Happy New Year!! We are grateful for the loyalty and support that everyone continues to show, as well as the new faces that the past year has given to us. And with the good times throughout the last 12 months that have brought a lot of laughter and many reasons to celebrate, 2019 also delivered a huge loss with the passing of our good friend and long time student Steve Hoff, whose spirit remains, attached to the echo of his belly laugh and the countless memories he created for which we hold onto.
Looking ahead, 2020 will take us to year 17 of officially opening our own doors in Carroll County. May the new year bring good health and happiness to each of you and your family members. Cheers to another successful year!! 🎉 See everyone tomorrow!!
Happy Birthday, Mike Guercio, Mr. Mike, Papa G, Dad, coach, sensei, old man....To our head instructor, mentor and friend with a lot of names, HAVE A FANTASTIC DAY!!!

baltimoresun.com On Nov. 12, the Maryland sports scene, Carroll County and the greater Westminster community suffered a great loss with the death of my childhood friend and neighbor, Steve Hoff, 62, of Westminster and Patapsco. fletcherfuneralhome.net Obituary for Steve Hoff | Wilfred Stevenson “Steve” Hoff, Jr., 62, of Seven Valleys, PA, formerly of Finksburg, died Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Born November 7, 1957 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of Wilfred S. Hoff, Sr. and the late Annie Hughe....
Yesterday, we lost our very good friend and an active member of our school, Steve Hoff. Steve began taking classes with us after his son, the younger Steve, introduced him to Kenpo. He became very passionate about studying and practicing, earning his second degree brown belt in the years that he shared with us. This is only one of many, many accomplishments that he worked so hard for in his lifetime. Steve not only enjoyed working out with his fellow students and instructors, he also stepped in at times to help out with our kids’ program, sharing his vast wrestling knowledge and expertise. There was never a question as to whether Steve was in the building as you could always hear his boisterous laugh echoing down the hall. So as we prepare to say goodbye, our hearts are heavy. He will be missed without question and always remembered as a one of a kind individual. Rest easy, dear friend.
We will be sharing Steve’s obituary soon for those interested in attending the upcoming memorial services and learning a little more about his life.
[11/11/19] Reminder: the added Monday kid’s Kenpo class from 6:30-7:30 begins tonight immediately following the Tigers & Dragons class
Many in our CCK family...students, former students, parents and grandparents...have chosen this path. Thank you all for your service to our country and your work to protect our nation’s freedoms 🇺🇸
