Happy Mother’s Day ! 🌸🌷
In a classroom full of preschoolers, teachers can find learning moments in any situation. If a torrential downpour ruins a field trip to the park, preschool teachers use their imagination and pivot to the next best thing: an indoor campout complete with s’mores and whatever ingredients teachers grabbed on their lunch break. No other job will ever require and celebrate the amount of resourcefulness and imagination that comes with being a teacher. Not every day will go as planned, but those that accept this incredible role learn and grow from it.
Preschoolers think highly of their teachers, more so than almost anyone else in their lives. We know that children are highly impressionable and unknowingly seek out role models whose actions they will adopt and mirror. As a rock star in the classroom, teachers may not be required to sing on key, but are required to be a hero and lead by example.
Yoga helps our children to learn about breathing techniques, stretching, exercising, and with all that done regularly, they become more aware of their body and senses and develop skills for self-regulation. ❤️
Preschool teachers have mastered the art of encouraging toddlers and young children to use empathy, respect and compromise to engage in problem solving together. These skills will serve children well for a lifetime.
“A Teacher takes a hand, opens a mind and touches a heart”. We work with love and that makes everything different!
Toddlers are fantastic explorers! Every new discovery and achievement must be celebrated so we can keep the curiosity running!
It can sometimes feel impossible to put into words things like the importance of voting, why we celebrate Women’s History Month, why it’s important to take care of the environment, or why we should treat others with empathy. Preschool teachers are equipped with the skills needed to show the children in their classrooms how to gather and interpret information and, most importantly, ask questions, ultimately equipping children with the tools they need to become critical thinkers.
This month in Character Essentials, we’re showing reliability and trust for actions others are expecting us to do.

Are you ready for a summer full of surprises, fun activities, games, and continued learning while playing a lot? We are!! Limited spots for Summer Camp for school-age children 5 -7.
Our Life Essentials curriculum is a play-based curriculum, that means the children learn through play! And because of that, our educators’ role is to create opportunities for the children to explore, think and develop skills intentionally. A teacher sitting on the floor playing with the children has a purpose. For example, during a week where the theme is “Construction”, children were exposed to toys related to that, pictures of buildings and together, they can build a tower, or a dog’s house, depending on the imagination and the story told that day! It's amazing to see their brains making connections with everything they learn each week!
Counting the dots, matching the colors of the ladybugs🐞 and learning them in Spanish is one example of how a “Bug Themed” week can help our children develop some fundamental skills for their lifetime of learning! This is what our curriculum is all about! Inspiring their curiosity, playing and exploring a theme and learn. Our Life Essentials Curriculum was developed to keep their curiosity running based on the highest standards of the country.
Preschool teachers are energized and confident in situations with a dozen or so small children as they eat meals, play outside, work on creative art projects, dance, sing, and learn to use the bathroom. While they create specific classroom routines for their students, they need to be comfortable with unpredictability and improvising - each day is completely different and full of juggling unexpected situations.
Happy Birthday Mrs. Maria!!!!❤️
