Congratulations to Steve Meirink and his company, Wolters Kluwer, on earning the Partnership Award from Operation Hope!

Steve is a ’99 alum and current Wartburg Board of Regents member.

Steve and his company, Wolters Kluwer, were recognized for their leadership in financial literacy, working with Operation Hope to help disrupt poverty for low- and moderate-income individuals and families. Steve currently serves as Executive Vice President and GM - Compliance Services for Wolters Kluwer and is based in Minneapolis. Steve has been very supportive of students and faculty in the Business Administration, Accounting, and Economics Department over the years and most recently has worked with several graduating seniors as they contemplate their post-graduation plans.

Hey students! Don't forget to partake in culture week. There are about 120 students from 55 different countries at Wartburg, all with unique backgrounds. Go out and celebrate with them at the variety of events being hosted this week on campus.

Congratulations to our service award recipients, honored today at the annual St. Elizabeth Week Chapel!

Senior Jared Feigenbaum and junior Bree Gryp were awarded the St. Elizabeth Award for Service, which recognizes students who have exemplified a commitment to service and are a living example of the mission of Wartburg College.

Hope Elbert, office coordinator for Alumni & Parent Relations, is the recipient of this year’s Pastor Larry Trachte Award for Service, given to staff or faculty who embody PT’s enthusiasm, support, involvement, dedication and overall commitment to Wartburg’s mission of service.

The Department of Business, Accounting & Economics won the Coins for a Cause competition, with all proceeds going to the St. Elizabeth Bread Basket.
