The Catholic Consortium of Lake County is a school system & regional model for the Archdiocese of Chicago. Including 2 elementary schools & 1 junior high.
Frassati Catholic Academy - Elementary & Middle School - formerly known as the Catholic Consortium of Lake County is a school that serves the greater area of Lake County and surrounding communities, specifically servicing the communities of Mundelein and Wauconda and the parishes of St. Mary of the Annunciation and Santa Maria of Mundelein and Transfiguration of Wauconda. Our school serves students from Early Education through 8th grade. Our school has two campuses: Mundelein (preschool – 5th grade) and Wauconda (preschool – 8th grade). We offer full and half day Preschool, as well as Extended Day programs, before and after school. Transportation is made easy for our families, as we have multiple school bus stops and convenient transportation between both campus locations and in our surrounding areas. Our graduates place in honor classes in high school and furthermore go on to attend some of the best collegiate institutions in the country. Our school students thrive in a nurturing and spiritual environment while being challenged daily by our arduous academic programming. Students learn values that complement their family’s faith formation and learn to become peacemakers in their communities, as Pier Giorgio Frassati had. Our unique school allows our students to be diversified, while still being able to receive the individual attention they need to succeed and grow. We hope you will browse our site and learn more about what Frassati Catholic Academy has to offer.

One of the four doctors of the Church, Saint Ambrose is one of the most important theological figures of the fourth century. Born in Germany, educated in Rome, he was made the bishop of Milan by the demand of the people, even though he fled from this honor. After his elevation to the episcopate he donated all his lands and money to the poor. It was his meeting with Saint Ambrose that caused the young Augustine to re-evaluate his life and receive baptism at the holy bishop's hand. Advising his young charge to follow the liturgical customs of Rome when visiting there, he is credited with the saying "When in Rome, do as the Roman." Saint Ambrose was outspoken and courageous in his defense of the truth faith, defying invading forces, heretics, and even the emperor. Let this Saint Ambrose Icon inspire you to defend the true faith.
