It is with sincere sadness I share this with you. If you didn't know him personally, you probably knew is presence. Steve Stiller and his wife Karen were very active with the band at WHS. They both served on the board, even after their son graduated. They were the first phase of the Music notes presented to the Senior band members. Steve and Karen generously donated their time and craft to cutting each and every music note out and sanding them in preparation for paint and names.
The following is the information on his wake and funeral:
This Friday there will be a wake at Kisselburg Funeral Home in Wauconda from 4-8pm, and a funeral service at St Johns in Island Lake on Saturday with a viewing at 10am and the service beginning at 11.
Tonight was the jazz bands concert, featuring both middle schools and three different jazz groups from WHS. All were incredible, but one of the highlights was MMS jazz band’s special guest soloist!
The next Band Boosters meeting is Monday, February 3 at 6 p.m. We will be meeting in the WHS band room. Hope to see you there!
Solo & Ensemble is next weekend!! We need 20-25 parent volunteers spread out through the day to make this a positive musical experience for our students. The primary task with being a room monitor is to ensure that the rooms stay on schedule for the judges and that the performances don’t have any disruptions from the hallway.

If you can't make it to the meeting, there are other ways to help the Band Boosters:
- We are looking for a treasurer
- We are looking for a fundraising coordinator/chair
- We need assistance selling pizzas after the concert
- We need help selling 50/50 raffle tickets.
