[06/16/19]   Happy Father’s Day!

One of our former students having success in dance!

Since our camp is only a few days away we want to introduce you to our faculty! Our first faculty member is Katie Meyer! She will be teaching contemporary at our intensive. She has been dancing for 18 years. Katie began her training at the Academy of Ballet and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Dance Emphasis at NIU. Her experience working with individuals with disabilities includes being the head choreographer for Penguin Players! Katie is looking forward to "seeing everyone again at camp and being able to introduce a new style of dance to the students." We are so lucky to have Katie as a faculty member and can't wait to see what she teaches in her class!

Today is the day! Recital is here at last! Two of our seniors are celebrating 15 years of dance at ABW. It is with great pleasure that we send them on to their next adventures.
Don’t forget the ABW.. motto
A: always maintain your personal integrity.
B: Be true to your hopes and dreams
W: Work hard to make your aspirations a reality!!

I love the work of Rita Pierson and I wanted to share this video clip. When other professionals ask me about closing the achievement gap, I explain the MOST IMPORTANT step is making connections and supporting students. As a educational leader, this also applies to supporting our DISTINGUISHED educators. Our teachers, paraprofessionals, and administrators need our support! Our students deserve the BEST and only the BEST!

It would be my honor to serve our community...OUR learning community will receive my 100% support!

To all the Shero’s in my life❤️

So proud of the ABW competition team❤️. They brought home so many accolades and scholarships.
From Novice to Elite we earned distinction in each competitive level.

An incredible teacher and mentor to so many.

It is with enormous love and sadness that I share that our Founding Artistic Director, Marcia Dale Weary has passed. She built a legacy through the best in classical ballet training. Her legacy will continue through all of us at CPYB who share the same values and love for what she stood for. Marcia will be missed as she is loved by so many. We thank you Marcia for the beauty you brought to this world. Memorial services and tributes for Marcia with further information will be forthcoming.

Thank you,

Nicholas Ade

Such a great daycare if anyone is looking for childcare!

Little hands need to develop dexterity and strength to complete important tasks such as: writing, feeding oneself, buttoning and zipping. Fine motor activities play an important part of our school day. Today, our Frolicking Frogs learned how to sew as they have been actively learning through the Creative Curriculum and our Clothing Study.
