The FNN Online Book Club is a project of Friendship News Network (FNN), at Friendship Public Charter School that gives our youngest scholars (PreK-1st grade) the opportunity to choose a favorite book to keep forever and make video reviews of their books.

DECEMBER, 2023. Our youngest scholars (grades prek-2) had lots of fun at The FNN Early Birds Book Club holiday party at 6 Friendship Elementary Schools in Washington, DC. Everyone picked out a favorite book to take home for the holidays. Teachers, parents, volunteers and older students were on hand to read the new books, munch cookies and act silly. Special thanks to the Capitol Hill Community Foundation, The Rashid Foundation, the Guttman Foundation and Friendship News Network for sponsoring all the parties!!!!

BOOKS FOR THE SUMMER FROM THE FNN ONLINE BOOK CLUB! Our youngest scholars (grades prek-2) at Friendship Armstrong, Blow Pierce and Southeast Elementary Schools had lots of fun choosing their new books to show off and take home for summer. At Blow Pierce, they even took the party outside. Staff and parents were on hand for story circles and cookie-munching. See you next year!!!!!!

May 25, 2023. The FNN Online Book Club at Friendship Chamberlain Elementary had it's last book party for the school year. Each of our youngest scholars in grades prek-2 had lots of fun picking a favorite book to take home for the summer. Thanks to the Capitol Hill Community Foundation for all the books! December 9th, 2022. The FNN Online Book Club started the holiday season off at Chamberlain Elementary with book parties for all prek-2nd grade students. Thanks to a generous grant from the Capitol Hill Community Foundation each student got to take home a favorite book to keep. They're now in the process of making video reviews of their favorite books coming soon.

March 2, 2023. Students, teachers and guest had lots of fun at classroom book parties to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday at Friendship Chamberlain Elementary. Each student picked a favorite book to take home. Coming soon: Video book reviews.

DECEMBER 1922: Right before the holidays, Friendship scholars in grades prek-2 celebrated their new books during book parties at Friendship Armstrong, Blow Pierce, Chamberlain, Southeast and Woodridge Elementary Schools. Each scholar got to pick a favorite book to take home. Hands-down winners were Happy Hair and Cool Cars. Teachers, parents, volunteers and staff joined in. Next month, stay tuned for video book reviews by our youngest scholars on the FNN Online Book Club YouTube Channel.

Spring 2022: Despite COVID and some unwieldy masks, preK-2 scholars at Friendship Chamberlain Elementary had a great time at the FNN Online Book Club party. Thanks to the Capitol Hill Community Foundation, everybody got to choose a favorite book to take home. After the party, several students told about their books in video book reviews which will be posted their own youtube channel. Stay tuned!
