Reaching out, to see if any parents picking kids up in the afternoon would be willing to pick up and drop our 2 kids right up the road at the Fauquier bank in the afternoons? Certainly willing to pay for the effort.
Thank you

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your generous donations during the 24 Hours of Giving earlier this week. We never take our giving, kind-hearted community for granted, and we appreciate your contributions to the tuition assistance fund, which will help others receive a Catholic education.

St. John the Evangelist students thoroughly enjoyed the Catholic Schools Week activities, and we hope you enjoyed a glimpse at the life of an Eagle.

Today concluded Catholic Schools Week with the students attending mass in their Sunday Best. Earlier this week, St. John the Evangelist students partnered with our Parish's Care Ministry and donated their time and creative talents to create beautiful cards to encourage and brighten the spirits of our homebound parishioners.

A special thanks to Morgan Bruce, our fabulous Art Teacher, for leading the students in this charitable endeavor. In total, the students made a total of 262 cards with beautiful illustrations and kind words. "A community needs a soul if it is to become a true home for human beings. You..the people, must give it to this soul." - St. Pope John Paul II

Today, students honored our Mother Mary by wearing blue and visited the Church for adoration. The children also walked from class to class for the "tour of the doors," which were beautifully decorated for Mary.

This morning, we also honored our wonderful volunteers who selflessly give their time to St. John the Evangelist. We are so appreciative of everything they do. "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller

Our Eagles sure have been busy. Today, students from St. John the Evangelist traveled to Richmond to participate in the March for Life to represent the voiceless!

Back at the school, students participated in the Kindness Project, which involved making cards for a local charity. Classes enjoyed working with students from other grades for this fun project!

It's a great day to be a St. John the Evangelist Eagle! Watch us soar!

Today, as part of Catholic Schools Week, the elementary school wore their favorite flannel, which was perfect on this cold, snowy day. The preschool got to wear their favorite superhero outfits and had a visit from the 8th grade, who played games with them. The little ones loved spending time with the "big kids."

Trinity Hall was full of excitement this afternoon during the Teacher/8th Grade volleyball game, with the rest of the school eagerly watching on.

While the teachers happily took home the win, the game was an example of how St. John the Evangelist creates strong bonds between the students, teachers, administration, and parish.

As we continue celebrating Catholic Schools Week, we remain grateful for your generosity during the 24 Hours of Giving. We are nearly halfway to our goal of $20,000. Our eagles know how to soar!

We were delighted to have visits from two authors this past week.

On Monday, we welcomed Mrs. Sylvia Dorham, the author of "Monks' Daily Bread." Mrs. Dorham visited with our K-3rd grade classes and shared how an idea for a story becomes a book. She also read two of her books to the classes.

We also virtually welcomed Mrs. Kate Albus over Zoom to meet with our 4th-6th grade classes. Mrs. Albus shared the background of her historical fiction novel, "A Place to Hang the Moon," and read an excerpt from it. She also answered questions about her inspiration and future books.

Thank you to both of the authors for spending time with our students and sharing their stories.
