Tryton Tutoring is offering individualized tutoring for NJ ASK MATH Grades 4-8. There is no drawn-out, lengthy and overly-priced NJ ASK prep classes; personalized instruction is targeted and time-efficient. Why is the NJ ASK so important? Besides a permanent score marker on a child's academic record, it is being used to implement tracking students from regular to honors classes.
In my son's middle school, the administration is separating the classes into 3 tracks; Honors Pre-Algebra, Pre-Algebra and regular Math 7. They are using all the prior NJ ASK math scores in the final scoring rubric to assess the student's ability level. Definitely, your child's NJ ASK scores is of critical importance!

Employers care about SAT scores, even years later, proving all of life is like high school The SATs weren't just relevant in high school. It turns out that plenty of employers still look at job candidates' old test scores—sometimes decades down the road.

How Physical Fitness May Promote School Success

Significantly, a positive link between the proximity of time between exercise and academic achievement was established. It was found that fourth- and fifth-grade students who ran around and otherwise exercised vigorously for at least 10 minutes before a math test scored higher than children who had sat quietly before the exam.

How Physical Fitness May Promote School Success Physically fit children absorb and retain new information more effectively than children who are out of shape, a new study finds, raising timely questions about the wisdom of slashing schools’ physical education programs.

The Three Biggest Lies in College Admission 01/15/2014

The Three Biggest Lies in College Admission

This article covers three big lies in college admissions:

1. Standardized test (SAT and ACT) scores are less and less important.
2. Asking for financial aid won’t have an impact on the admission decision
3. There is a level playing field in college admissions.

Briefly about myself, my name is Brad Chin and I am the director of Tryton Tutoring and Learning Center, located in the Superdome Sports Complex main building, 136 Hopper Ave, Waldwick, NJ. I am a NJ Certified Mathematics K-12 teacher with over 10 years experience working in public schools and private academies. As a classroom teacher and private tutor, I have taught to many grade levels of students, ranging from elementary through high school. Prior to becoming a teacher, I was a IT developer and systems analyst in the corporate field. Whether it has been changing jobs or careers, a life-long penchant for learning has always been a constant. The love for learning is what I try to instill in my students and my two children and there's nothing more rewarding than to make a difference in a child's life.
Just some fun facts about me. I grew up in Bayside, Queens NY and I'm an avid Mets/Jets fan-let me say,it hasn't been easy! I'm a movie and sports trivia buff; I could be happily lost in conversation talking about these twin interests. My favorite movie of all time is fittingly a sports film, Chariots of Fire, which depicted the struggles of two athletes in the 1924 Paris Olympics.
