So much wonderful information shared with us today at the 16th Street Baptist Church and the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute. Birmingham has a lot to offer. Pictures coming soon.

We're on the bus headed to Vulcan Park, and then for a tour of the 16th Street Baptist Church.

Slowly but surely the group is getting up and making their way to breakfast.

We had our tour at the Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church where Dr. Martin Luther King Junior was the pastor for 6 years. The tour was heartfelt and inspiring!

We've arrived at the Tuskegee National Institute :-)

We had our 2nd rest stop and lunch. We're back on the road!

We made it to our 1st Rest Stop. All accounted for and we're back on the road!

We've been on the road for an hour and a half. The bus is quiet, the movie Cars is playing in the background and I have one student peeking around his seat making eye contact with his buddy. All is well!

Frierson students made their debut at the Joe Riley Riverdogs Stadium.

Artist in Residency: Mrs. Antonelli visited Frierson's 3rd-5th grade classes and taught teachers and students how to incorporate "The Arts" into the curriculum. Check out our videos!

This is a Fundraiser for the 5th grade's End of the Year Trip
to experience the Civil Rights Tour through Alabama and Georgia!

We had 3 chefs/grillers to come out and compete to see who could cook the best ribs and chicken. This was one of many fundraisers organized by our 5th grade parents and teacher to help raise funds for the 5th grade's End of the Year Civil Rights Tour to Alabama and Georgia.

Students from C to 5th grade participated in the Pep Rally.

We had 4 students to participate in the Spelling Bee and we took home 1st and 2nd place.

Come out on March 26th from 9:00-11:20 a.m. to participate in our 1st Entrepreneur Expo!
