We are a public school district who services grades PK-12. Likewise, the full day kindergarten program provides a strong foundation for student academic growth.
The City of Burlington Public School District includes Captain James Lawrence School (Kindergarten to Grade 2); Samuel Smith School (Preschool to Grade 2); Wilbur Watts Intermediate School (Grade 3 to Grade 6); and Burlington City High School (Grade 7 to Grade 12). Today the 🎓Class of 2024🎓 celebrated the much-loved tradition of walking through the halls of the lower schools dressed in cap and gown! Students at Samuel Smith Elementary School, Lawrence Elementary School-CJL, and Wilbur Watts Intermediate School clapped and cheered as the seniors revisited the elementary halls one last time! Graduating seniors also visited Edgewater Park Township School District. 🥲 🎓 💙

Yesterday our 2023-2024 Teachers and Educational Service Professionals of the Year were formally honored at the Burlington County Governor's Educator of the Year Awards. Superintendent, Dr. John Russell, had the privilege of introducing Mrs. Nicola Recla-Fischer who, in true form, provided an enthusiastic and energetic speech! Mrs. Recla-Fischer currently serves as both the District AND County Teacher of the Year. We are so of our staff and everything they have accomplished!🤩
We are to work with Partners For Kids & Families, Inc. this past Saturday to provide an afternoon of food, games, prizes, and resources in honor of . Even more proud to have our own Burlington City High School students assisting at this wonderful event! 🤗
The evening of Wednesday, May 15th was a lovely celebration of food, fun, and family togetherness at our Annual Title I & ELL Dinner. Students, staff, and families came together to enjoy games, prizes, and a delicious dinner while celebrating our students' achievements.
