GPM Food Drive Update:

The 2024 GPM Food Drive has officially come to a close, and what an incredible event it has been! On behalf of the Junior Student Council, Ms. Jaggar, and myself, I want to express our deepest gratitude to each of you. Thanks to your generous donations, the Boise Rescue Mission will be able to provide thousands of families in the Treasure Valley area with meal boxes for the holidays. My heart is truly overflowing with joy as I see the incredible amount of donations we’ve gathered. Thank you all so much for your kindness and support!

This year's food drive was a huge success, raising an incredible 5,273 items to help families in our community! That's 1,875 more items than we collected last year. This achievement wouldn't have been possible without the amazing teamwork from every parent, scholar, teacher, support staff, and administrator. Thank you all so much for your dedication and support in making this event such a success!

I’d also like to extend a thank you to the PTO for generously donating a pizza party to Mrs. Verdi's 2nd grade class and Mrs. Collins' 5th grade class for collecting the most items in the K-2 and 3-5 categories. Your support means so much!

I am absolutely blown away by the incredible generosity of our GPM families! The GPM Food Drive is now just shy of 2,000 items collected—how amazing is that? Thanks to you, we’ll be able to make a real difference and help the Boise Rescue Mission support so many families this holiday season.

Great start to the GPM Food Drive! As a school, we've already collected over 600 items. We're excited for the rest of the week ahead! Team Collins is currently in the lead, but there's still plenty of time to bring in your canned/boxed food items. Don't forget, we're collecting donations through Friday at 4 p.m. Let's keep it up, Team—We've got this!

Reminder!!!!

Food Drive starts tomorrow, there will be collection bins in each classroom.

Top Class for K-2 and 3-5 will get a Pizza Party.

Any class that beats “Team Collins” will get donuts!

As you are aware, November 5, 2024 is Election Day. One of the competencies we seek to help scholars develop is “Civic-Mindedness”. In fact, this is elementary's focus for the month of November, partly due to the upcoming election.

Many schools in the Boise and West Ada school districts are utilized as local polling locations and will be closed on Tuesday. Since Gem Prep: Meridian will not be used as a polling location for this election, we will be open and school will be in session. We look forward to seeing our scholars tomorrow!
