🎓 We’re excited to introduce everyone to this year’s graduating PeliCAN: Wyatt Breaux!

💬 Wyatt is a genuine, passionate, and hardworking young man, especially when it comes to helping lend a hand on their family land or raising his many animals. Including his cat, Trixie, and his tortoises, whom he feels are his own children! Wyatt prides himself in knowing that his hard work on and off campus has led to a promising career as an industrial inspector. Even on difficult days, he remained focused on starting his own business, which he proudly accomplished at the young age of 18, called Aces Consulting, LLC, an industrial inspection company. And when Wyatt finds time to unwind, he enjoys being outdoors, watching movies, dreaming of personal aspirations of raising a family, and planning to travel internationally and domestically, like Walt Disney World in the near future.

🎉 We are all proud of Wyatt’s dedication to his dreams, which always inspires us to continue chasing our own! We will dearly miss your sincere smile and compassionate heart. However, we could not be more proud to see you spread your wings and soar as a proud Education Destination PeliCAN. Congratulations, Wyatt!

Happy Teacher Appreciation, Mrs. Katie. Your passion to education shines through all that you bring to your classes. Your true love for literature and your ability to share this love in unique ways, to each of your students, is a reflection of who you are as an educator. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week.

08/05/2024

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to our angels in education. Over the next few days we will highlight moments that capture the spirit of each teacher at Education Destination. Our teachers are the truest definition of what it means to be an educator. They lead each day striving to be their best. Each teacher guides our PeliCANs to persevere past memorizing and pushing each student to construct an ongoing love for learning and individualized thinking. Our teachers know that the power is in the discussion and that each child has their unique thought process and ways of communicating such.

It takes a heart of gold to be an educator. We hope each of you enjoy your special week.

Today we spotlight our K-4T educators Ms. Elizabeth and Mrs. Skylar.

The skies cleared and clouds parted just in time for our EDS Pelicans to witness the 2024 Solar Eclipse.
Despite the initial disappointment caused by the rain, the smiles on our students' faces were priceless as they gazed at the celestial spectacle filled with gasps of awe and excitement.

Our PeliCANs love the New Orleans Pelicans and their efforts in building acceptance for our Autism community.

Acceptance is more than just a word; it's a powerful action that transforms lives. While it's heartwarming to see it written and shared, being truly accepted goes beyond slogans and symbols. It's about actively embracing differences and fostering inclusivity in every aspect of our lives.

At Education Destination, we believe in putting acceptance into action, especially within our Autism community. Today, let's dive deeper into what it truly means. We invite you to share your thoughts and experiences in the comments below, such as:

👉 How is acceptance shown in your family, classroom, therapy sessions, doctor visits, workplace, and social gatherings?
👉 What does acceptance look like, sound like, and feel like to you?

Your voices matter. By listening to the perspectives of our neurodivergent community, we can learn and grow together. Let's make every day a celebration of acceptance and inclusion, not just in words but in actions. Together, we can create a world where everyone feels valued and understood. 💙

Wondering what to do with all the plastic Easter eggs sitting around. We have found the solution! Autism Society of Acadiana!! Eggcellent idea! Recycle and Reuse!

🥚♻️ Attention Acadiana Egg Enthusiasts! 🥚♻️

Got eggs? We want 'em! 🐣

As we wrap up this year's eggstravaganza with Egg Your Yard, we're already looking ahead to next year's fun-filled event. And guess what? We're collecting plastic eggs to recycle and reuse for Egg Your Yard 2025! 🌟 It's like 'Egg Your Yard...in Reverse!' 🥚🌳

Instead of delivering eggs to your yard, we'll be collecting them! That's right, we're asking everyone to donate their leftover Easter eggs back to us for recycling! 🔄🥚

If you've got plastic eggs lying around from this year's festivities, don't toss 'em—let's give 'em new life! 🔄 Simply call or text us at 337-235-4425 to arrange a drop-off, or swing by our office and pop 'em in our handy drop box. Every egg counts! 🥚

Let's keep the egg-citement going, Acadiana! Together, we're making a sustainable difference, one egg at a time. 🌈♻️
