Winter at our DC Reggio's Treehouse locations brought sensory exploration, art projects, opportunities for expressive play, and of course: books! Teachers shared cozy winter stories about snowmen, snow days and all things Winter Wonderland.
☃By connecting the home and school life by integrating common experiences, like building a snowman at home, these concepts are reinforced and can help to grow vital cognitive and social skills!
You can imitate these experiences at home by sharing the story of daily tasks with your little one, such as explaining a trip to the grocery store, or your morning commute! A simple story can go a long way. Happy January!

Small gestures like this, make a HUGE difference. Not only for the planet but in our children’s minds. They went on their daily walk and did some trash picking so “the birds and foxes and other animals don’t choke on it”. So inspiring to hear them share their journey! Thank you for the lesson.
