For the past 11 years, Arlington Community Schools has proudly served Lakeland high school students through our interlocal agreement with the Lakeland School System. While our towns may be separate, our mission has always been the same: to provide an exceptional educational experience for every student who walked through our doors.
Together, with students from Arlington, Lakeland and beyond, weโve built something special at Arlington High School. More than 6,000 students have passed through Arlington Highโs halls during this time, shaping our award-winning fine arts programs, advancing athletic teams to state-level competition and helping launch future-ready pathways like our state-recognized health sciences program, business management track, film and journalism courses and the AHSTEMHub. That includes industry-standard labs in machining, mechatronics, welding, cybersecurity and much more. Our studentsโ contributions are woven into the very identity of AHS.
Over the past 11 years, it hasnโt mattered ๐ธ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ฆ our students lived - it mattered that they were ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ฆ with us. Thinking, creating, achieving and shaping our future together. Our programs thrive because of the passion and excellence of all our students, and we canโt wait to see what they accomplish in the decade ahead.
As we look to the future, Lakeland School System has indicated it will dissolve the interlocal agreement with ACS at the end of the 2025โ26 school year, as it expands its own high school to serve grades 9โ12.

We canโt wait to see you for an exciting year! Whether youโre an entering freshman or returning student who currently lives in Lakeland, you can remain part of the Arlington family.
All Lakeland students are welcome to attend AHS for the 2025-2026 school year through our standard ACS Registration process โ no non-resident application is required!
Students from Lakeland who are enrolled at AHS during the 2025โ2026 school year and continue to meet eligibility requirements for academics, attendance and behavior will not need to complete a non-resident transfer application in future years. Youโll register just like you always have.

Yes. Beginning with the 2026โ2027 school year, new Lakeland students wishing to attend ACS are invited to apply through our Non-Resident Admission Program, which considers academic performance, attendance and behavior. Approved non-resident students may attend ACS at no cost!
We would be honored to continue serving any family โ from Lakeland or elsewhere โ who shares our belief in student-centered excellence and wants to be part of the Arlington story.
Weโre proud to be a destination district, one that families seek out because of our passionate teachers and staff, strong programs and record of student success.
To all the students and families we have served and continue to serve โ thank you. Youโve helped build the momentum that will carry Arlington into its next chapter.
And to those still looking for a school that sees your potential, we invite you to be a part of ours. ๐

Learning got a little ๐พ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ซ๐ฌ๐น this June at ACS! ๐พ Our Wild About Animals Summer Camp ended with a ROAR today - shoutout to our amazing teachers and support staff who made it all possible! ๐
Over the past four weeks, elementary campers explored some of the world's most adorable, gigantic, scary and downright disgusting animals, and they turned that wild inspiration into hands-on STEM fun. From cute creature creations and giant squids to shark traps, slimy slug races and mini zoos, each activity reinforced skills from the school year while sparking fresh curiosity for the one ahead.
Meanwhile, our middle school campers tackled a full-scale STEM design challenge: researching, planning and building protected zoo enclosures. They observed real zoo layouts, studied animal needs and engineered enclosures that brought together science, creativity and problem-solving.
We wrapped it all up with todayโs parent showcase, where families stepped into the wild and saw firsthand how much their students had explored, built and learned!
