Mark your calendars! Our pre-tryout evaluation nights begin THIS week! Players MUST be registered to attend these events. It is strongly recommended that anyone that is interested in trying out for Momentum this year attend these sessions! During these nights, coaches will begin evaluating players, running similar tryout drills, and providing an opportunity for players and parents to check out our club!

**Important MVC Announcement**

Important Update: Momentum Volleyball Club Focus Shift

Dear Momentum Volleyball Community,

It is with mixed emotions that we share a significant announcement regarding the future of Momentum Volleyball Club. Moving forward, MVC will be operating as a boys’ volleyball club only. We will no longer be running our girls summer drop-in clinics, but we WILL continue to run our Girls Super League Program this month.

When we started Momentum Volleyball Club, it was a labor of love—a way to support our daughter’s passion for the sport. Little did we anticipate the incredible growth that would follow. We are so thankful to have met so many great families, players, and watch their journey over the past 7 years and almost 100 teams. With our daughter graduated and our son stepping into his first club season, we find ourselves at a crossroads.

We have been operating the club since 2017 for both girls and boys with no breaks in between. We also own and operate an agency that provides services to children and adults with developmental disabilities. Running the club has been rewarding, but it’s also demanding. We’ve decided it is time to prioritize our family’s well-being and focus on running one club product exceptionally well. This decision required a ton of soul searching and it was not an easy one to make.

Over the past seven seasons, we've had the privilege of witnessing incredible growth, both on and off the court. Our players have become more than teammates—they've become lifelong friends. From early practices to nail-biting matches, the bonds forged within our volleyball family are irreplaceable.

Behind every successful team are dedicated coaches who inspire, teach, and uplift. Our coaches at Momentum have not only honed skills but also shaped character. Their impact extends beyond volleyball, preparing confident, resilient athletes for life's challenges. Our girls director Josh has been instrumental in the continued operation of our girls program the last several years.

Together, we've celebrated victories, rallied during tough moments, and embodied sportsmanship. Whether it was a thrilling match or a team bonding event, the spirit of Momentum lives on in each player's heart.

A New Chapter: Boys Program Focus

The demand for boys' volleyball is soaring, and we're excited to invest our energy in nurturing our thriving boys' teams in which our son is now immersed in. We recently won our first 18s Open SCVA NQ and our 15s won the USAV National Championship this past boys season. We expect our year-round boys program to continue grow in the next several years. We were anticipating more boys teams than girls teams for the first time in our club history. Our website with remain Momentumvb.com for those who have friends or family looking to join the MVC Boys program. Tryouts for our boys program will be August 10th.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been part of our journey in our girl’s program—the players, coaches, parents, and supporters. Your dedication and passion have made Momentum what it is today. We close operations on the girl's side of the club feeling truly blessed.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to an exciting future as we embark on this new chapter. We never know what the future holds…

We feel confident that all our previous players will find new club homes where new memories will be made.

WELCOME BACK! We are thrilled to announce that Wellington Afusia aka Coach Beef is returning to our coaching staff this upcoming club season! He is currently the Men’s Volleyball Head Coach at Ottawa University-AZ and is now our 3rd college coach on our lineup this year! 🥉Another Nationals Podium Finish!! 🥉

Congratulations to MVC 18 Red on their 3rd place finish at the USAV Boys Junior National Championships in Dallas!! They had a great run including an overall 7-3 record throughout the tournament in the club division. All 3 of their loses were in 3rd set tiebreaker sets including their semifinal match. This team fought hard all week long and played some of their best volleyball on the final day when it mattered the most. They lost to the eventual champions but we are so proud of what this team was able to accomplish in such a short amount of time with each other. Way to go and represent boys! Great job to all the players and coaches!!

Huge congratulations to MVC 15 Black for taking 1ST PLACE at the Boys Junior National Championships in Dallas!! Not only are they National Champions but they went an impressive 11-0 throughout the entire tournament in the club division! They also made history becoming the first team in Momentum history to win a National Championship! We couldn’t be more proud of all the players and coaches for an incredible season and performance. Congrats again and great job boys!!! 🥇🥇🥇

On day two of the USAV Boys Junior National Championships, MVC 15 Black 3-0 on the day! 6-0 overall🤘🏽Had two tough matches to start the day off, the boys were definitely pushed/ challenged mentally and physically! Our 17 Black team got the job done to remain in contention for the Gold Bracket by going 1-1.
