We learned so much for our BeeKeeper friend, Mrs. Madarasz. She taught us about bees, their jobs, and how they bring pollen/nectar back to the hives. We were also able to handle the honey boards and use the smoker! An awesome learning experience! Go Warriors!

2B planted bluebird crocus bulbs this past Friday. These bulbs should bloom in very early spring, and will continue to bloom every year. The students learned a little bit about bulbs, and what annual and perennial means, and also incorporated some math because they had to measure 4 inches down into the soil. What an awesome STEM project. Go Warriors!

Miss Falciani was a good luck charm to the 2nd grade field hockey team. It was a cold drizzly morning, but the girls won their game! Go Warriors!

6th graders helped PreK decorate their pumpkins with paint and stickers - they ended up looking great! Go Warriors!

Congratulations to our Varsity Field Hockey team! They beat St. Bernadette's in the first round of the Archdiocesan tournament and now move on to play St. Katherine's on Monday. Way to go, girls! Go Warriors!

7th graders were learning about how the early colonists were lacking basic survival skills when the pressure of arriving in the New World mounted. They were timed to attach a button to the fabric as a simulation of the pressure to quickly learn a new basic skill in order to survive! Go Warriors!

Msgr. Duncan had the great pleasure of blessing all the stuffed animals for PreK and K students in honor of St. Francis of Assisi. Go Warriors!

8th grade began our Kid Writing Buddy program with their Kindergarten buddies this week. This is a highlight and privilege of being an 8th grader at SPS! Go Warriors!

In Science class, 4th grade read the story of Pumpkin Jack. This year's STREAM unit is focused on plants so the 4th grade will observe how the pumpkin changes over time as it sits in the sealed glass jar. The students used Jamboard to make predictions.
