A huge congratulations to my wonderful student Kyle, who has decided to attend The University of North Texas to study music education and clarinet performance next year! He was accepted to all five (!!!) music programs that he applied to, and I could not be more proud of his hard work and dedication. I will miss teaching Kyle next year, but I know he is going to go on to do amazing things at UNT!

Thanks so much to Kyle's amazing parents Debbie and Bob for their support through this process!

Congratulations to my three students that were selected for All-Virginia Band this year! I am so proud of your hard work- this honor is well deserved!

Annika finished up her 68 exercises and I am floored with her progress! In addition to making district band as a 7th grader, she is also taking on some super challenging solo music for our spring recital! Annika loves her listening homework, and I can’t wait to see what she plays (and listens to!) next!

Lona finished her 68 exercises a couple weeks ago and she is rocking it right now! Between making 7th chair in the district 12 middle school district band, playing in NVYW Junior Winds, and picking a super difficult recital piece she is making huge strides in her playing! Congratulations, Lona!
