Each student in the Cass Career Center Agriculture Program works throughout the year on their own Supervised Ag Experience (SAE) project. Students complete this project outside of class time and throughout the summer. SAE projects can be ownership where students own animals, crops, or a business. SAE Projects can also be placement where students work for someone. Each student keeps records on their project in their SAE Recordbook.

FFA Advisors visit students throughout the year, especially during the summer, to see what students are learning and the progress they have made on their SAE. During each visit, advisors work with students on:
*Project and career advice
*Revising SAE goals
*Reviewing financial recordbook
*Providing recommendations
*Course work and FFA Leadership Development

Please click on each of the pictures below to learn about the different SAE Projects of Cass Career Center Agriculture students.

Congratulations to Agriculture Instructor / FFA Advisor, Ryan Shurvington for being named a 2025 National Agriscience Teacher Ambassador from the National Association of Agriculture Educators. Mr. Shurvington was one of only 15 Ag Teachers selected nationwide to participate in this training.

As part of the academy, teachers spend a week participating in an interactive, hands-on, application-based science training program. The training will include agriculture-related labs with a high amount of science content using the "inquiry-based" approach to student learning of agriscience.

Mr. Shurvington will then present workshops at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN in October and the National Association of Ag Educators Conference in Nashville in December.

Congratulations, Mr. Shurvington!
