During week three of MPS Student Ambassador Program, the group met with Mayor Cavalier Johnson, toured the newly renovated Baird Center, attended a civic panel with local politicians and influential community members, job shadowed at their assigned hotels, visited the Harley Davidson Museum, and had lunch at DanDan. They've learned so much about the city, event planning, and working in hospitality.

The student Ambassadors are still at it!
During week two of their internship, the students had a packed schedule. In the first half of the week, they visited the Saint Kate Arts Hotel, met with representatives from the Milwaukee Host Committee and Republican National Committee, and had a Q&A session with former Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes. A few of the students attended the annual Visit Milwaukee event where they ran into Milwaukee Bucks Bobby Portis.

After a day off for Juneteenth, they worked on a group project for an upcoming civic panel and finished off their week with a Riverboat tour and a stop at Mader's Restaurant, Wisconsin Cheese Mart, and Usinger's Sausage.

15 MPS students started their internship program at Marcus Hotels with the focus of learning about hospitality and the city of Milwaukee in order to become student ambassadors during the Republican National Convention. The focus of the first week was to learn about various jobs in hospitality and different attractions around the city.

Throughout the week, they visited sites like the Hilton Milwaukee City Center, Visit Milwaukee, the 3rd Street Market Hall, and The Pfister Hotel. They ended their week with a scavenger hunt through downtown Milwaukee and a trip to SafeHouse Milwaukee.
