The Office of Workforce Development is currently hiring two Student Assistants to support our department! We would greatly appreciate your help in sharing this opportunity with your students.

📌 Position Details:

Pay Rate: $16.50/hour
Hours: Must be available to work in-office during business hours (Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Eligibility: Must be enrolled full-time (12+ units) during the spring and fall semesters
Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish-speaking)
📝 Responsibilities Include:

Answering and directing phone calls
Responding to emails
Providing administrative support
Assisting with campus events at both LAC and TTC

This tuition-free program provides instruction in Automotive Quick Service Repair. Topics include composing an estimate for lubrication service, tire repair and brake inspection, communicating effectively with customers, demonstrating proper service procedures, management of hazardous waste, and researching potential job markets in the automotive service industry. Students who successfully complete the program will be able to earn the industry recognized Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Entry-Level Certification.
