We are deeply saddened by the devastation in central Texas over the past few days. Our hearts go out to everyone impacted, especially the families of those who lost their lives. Often in times such as these, many of us want to reach out and try to help those in need.

According to ABC13, officials recommend that if you want to give a financial donation, consider the Kerr County Relief Fund through the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country. If you know of anyone who needs help, the Salvation Army in Kerrville said it's among the places where people can stop by for assistance. People can visit their Social Services Office at 855 Hays St. or call 830-465-4797. You can also donate online to the Salvation Army in Kerrville. You can also donate to the Central & South Texas chapter of the American Red Cross at redcross.org/local/texas/central-and-south-texas.html. Be sure to put "Guadalupe River/Kerr County Flood" or "TX Hill Country Chapter” in the memo/designation field.
